Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.\nWhat's in it for you:\nThe Lead Engineer supporting the Airside Data Center Computer Room Air Handler (VCDC) Pod, will play a key role in the engineering activities that support sales order processing and execution for one of our important data center product platforms. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and support customer-focused engineering execution from bid support through manufacturing release and field issue resolution.\nThe lead engineer provides technical leadership for a cross-functional team of engineers and designers, this role is responsible for guiding team members, accelerating onboarding and technical development, supporting day-to-day project work, and maintaining quality control of deliverables. The lead engineer serves as a key technical resource and mentor, helping the team solve problems efficiently while delivering reliable results.\nThe lead engineer will contribute to the sales order execution process throughout the various project phases (job bidding, submittal generation, BOM development, model generation, design execution, production support, and field support). This position offers broad exposure across the order execution lifecycle and the opportunity to influence product quality, responsiveness, manufacturability, and continuous improvement through practical engineering solutions and ongoing design enhancements.\nWhat you will do:\nLead and support a team of engineers and designers in the planning and execution of project deliverables.\nHelp onboard and train new or less experienced engineers, bringing them up to speed on tools, standards, processes, and project requirements.\nProvide day-to-day technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to team members.\nAssist engineers with complex work, problem-solving, and technical decision-making.\nReview engineering and design output for accuracy, completeness, quality, and compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.\nEstablish and reinforce engineering best practices, workflows, and quality expectations across the team.\nCoordinate closely with designers and other stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and practical execution.\nSupport job processing activities, including bid support, submittals, order release, BOM development, and model generation.\nDevelop and review design content to support customer-specific orders and product configurations.\nCoordinate with various resources to ensure complete and accurate engineering deliverables.\nSupport production and field activities by resolving design issues and providing timely technical assistance.\nParticipate in risk assessments, design reviews, and problem-solving activities to support safe, reliable, and manufacturable designs.\nHelp identify and implement design improvements that enhance product quality, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction.\nPartner with manufacturing engineers to incorporate DFM principles into electrical designs and documentation to improve quality, safety, and assembly efficiency.\nWork with lab engineers to ensure customer witness test readiness and support validation of electrical system performance.\nSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality, reliability, and field issues.\nCreate and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and related product records.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, manufacturing, quality, and product management to support business objectives.\nSupport year-over-year cost and margin improvement initiatives.\nWhat you will bring:\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and 7-10 years of product design experience is required.\nMaster’s Degree in Engineering is preferred.\nAbility to identify and focus on the most critical issues to ensure timely solutions.Experience leading projects using PDP (or equivalent phase-gate process) is required.\nProblem assessment; analysis and problem solving skills.
