Working closely with yard, shipping, and inventory teams, this role is responsible for document management, order and shipment tracking, inventory control, and staff coordination to ensure compliance with company policies and yard safety standards. The position requires strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting teamwork and operational excellence in a fast-paced logistics environment.\nWhat you will do:\nPlan and coordinate outbound shipments and transport schedules in alignment with shipping and operational priorities.\nPrepare, process, and maintain shipment documentation, including bills of lading (manual and customer-provided), estimated ship dates, proof of delivery (PODs), and other required records.\nTrack orders and shipments in yard and logistics management systems; update information to ensure trailer, order, and inventory accuracy.\nCoordinate with yard, shipping, and logistics personnel regarding shipment status, trailer moves, and inventory locations.\nManage, audit, and archive shipping records and documentation, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.\nMonitor inventory levels, participate in inventory counts, and help resolve discrepancies in finished goods movement and storage.\nServe as a liaison for customer communication regarding shipment status, documentation, POD requests, and shipping appointment coordination.\nSupport accurate order tracking and timely information updates for finished goods flow.\nCollaborate with team members to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient yard/work environment consistent with company values and standard operating procedures.\nParticipate in operational meetings, process improvements, and cross-functional coordination required to support peak periods and changing priorities.\nDemonstrate positive, professional, and proactive behavior, flexibility for overtime or weekend work, and reliable attendance.\nWhat you will bring:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\n1 to 3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse administration, shipping/receiving, or general office support within a distribution, warehouse, or shipping environment.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with document management, database, or reporting tools preferred.\nFamiliarity with logistics software, transportation management systems (TMS), or yard management systems are strongly preferred.\nAbility to follow standard work, operational procedures, and compliance protocols.\nProven ability to track shipments, maintain accurate shipping/receiving records, and work with inventory management.\nEffective team player who communicates clearly and collaborates well with operations, yard, and shipping teams.\nWork Environment:\nPrimarily work in an office or indoor logistics environment with routine visits to the finished goods yard and shipping areas.\nMust be able to sit, stand, walk, communicate, and use standard office equipment for extended periods.\nOccasional exposure to outdoor yard, warehouse, or logistics operations, including varying weather conditions.\nRegular need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; infrequent need to lift up to 25 pounds.\nPersonal protective equipment (PPE) required when entering yard or shipping areas, in accordance with site policy.\nMust maintain reliable and punctual attendance; flexibility to support occasional overtime, weekend, or peak period work as required by business needs.\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$24.78Compensation Type:\nHourlyIncentive Eligible:\nNoSales Commission Eligible:\nNoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
