This position is expected to lead efforts to compress cycle times, improve inventory turns, improve service and reduce waste in all Materials processes. In addition, this position will regularly interface with suppliers, global procurement, operations, hourly plant personnel, engineering, finance, and plant leadership. This is the primary communication link between leadership teams and project teams; works with both project teams and leadership teams to deliver projects on schedule and on budget; identifies and updates risk profile and contingencies as well as developing options during the course of the project.\nResponsibilities:\nCalculation of Kanban sizing based on material usage and replenishment times.\nDetermine best line side material delivery and storage methods in line with TAKT time.\nCreate / maintain delivery routes from warehouse to assy lines and measure route compliance times.\nCalculate warehouse storage capacity needed by part family based on PFEP data.\nMaintains PFEP and item master information based upon process improvements, current constraints, total current demand by product family, and priority information. \nAssist in determining best storage locations such as at plant or at offsite warehouse based on usage / space while minimizing off site storage costs.\nDetermine best replenishment methods such as sequencing, kitting, kanban etc to best fit manufacturing needs. \nLead site Rapid Improvement Events that focus on Materials Management processes.\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nCollect data to problem solve process failures and work to find sustainable solutions.\nUtilizes six-sigma and lean manufacturing tools to identify service, cash, and/or cost savings opportunities.\nAssists the Materials team with new product introduction and team related project completion.\nDevelop, implement and drive adherence to standard work as set by the materials council across the functions.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWork closely with NPD leaders\nConduct inventory management routines in support of NPD and material planning.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or engineering preferred.\nExperience with rate-based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments preferred.\n5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes required.\nExperience with data analytics tools preferred - Alteryx, Tableau.\nExperience with visual management systems required.\nKnowledge of personal computer applications required (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.).\nWorking knowledge of Oracle.\nSix sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred.\nPMP certification preferred.\nAPICS certification preferred.\n3+ years of project management and/or manufacturing experience.\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$90,900.00 - $164,675.00Compensation Type:\nSalaryIncentive Eligible:\nNoSales Commission Eligible:\nNoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
