Adhering to company policies and safe working practices for self and others, at all times. To Monitor, inspect and assess fleet condition and operation making suggestions for corrective action where appropriate. Identify key revenue opportunities and work with other MFS employees to ensure retention of existing and development of new business.\nThe desired locations are Greater London & Essex.\nWhat you will do\nInstallation, servicing, and repair of vehicle powered (diesel engine) road transport refrigeration units, limiting costs of stock used on contract accounts and maximising revenue generation in all areas.\nOptimise and maintain engineer van stock to maintain and enhance service delivery to MFS customers.\nEnsure relevant safety checks are carried out on the company van daily.\nMaintain product and customer requirements knowledge to meet ISO9001 standards.\nUndertaking company training (at our dedicated training centre in Ashton, Wigan) and self-development through the Certi-Tech certification process.\nTo liaise with central control and/or the service centre regarding job start and completion times, downtime and overtime authorisation, cost updates and customer purchase orders.\nComplete all relevant paperwork and on-line (PDA) requirements enabling central control and invoicing to maintain a high standard of customer interface - keeping the customer informed.\nAssist with planning of installations and undertake installations and commissioning.\nPerform other duties and projects which correspond to the general character of the position.\nEnsure adherence to company procedures in line with company policies, Health & safety procedures and ISO9001 standards.\nApprentices and or engineers in training (EIT) may be supervised where applicable.\nEnsure customer service is a priority and conduct & corporate image (self, van, tools, spares) are first rate.\nWhat you will bring\nEducated to GCSE level or equivalent with at least 3 grade C’s or above.\nQualified to 2078 Refrigerant Handling and 2079 F-Gas.\nExperienced in Electrics including 3 phase and brazing certified.\nIdeally Completed Apprenticeship in Refrigeration /Air Conditioning /Commercial\nTime Served as a Refrigeration/ Air Conditioning or Commercial Engineer with at least 5 Years’ experience.\nAble to work on own initiative in a safe and professional manner maintaining Customers units and Company property to the Highest Standards.\nCommercial experience on mechanics including engines, compressors, and hydraulics.\nIT literate (Microsoft Office), PDA use.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.\nNumerate, literate, methodical, systematic.\nAttention to detail and target driven.\nCustomer Service Skills & Relationship building skills.\nPunctuality and efficiency.\nClean UK driving licence.\nExtensive travel required, including overnight stays and working on customer sites.\nNeeds to be physically fit to perform required tasks.\nParticipation in additional on call roster, including overtime, working nights and weekends.
