This role will lead cross-functional product development teams to deliver new or improved Thermo King products to market through a structured Stage-Gate NPD process. This role ensures new products meet specific customer requirements, program goals, timelines, and budgets. Program Managers take P&L accountability for all program/project activity through product launch. A key deliverable for the role is to follow best practices and drive teams towards project execution to a hand-off with operations. You will achieve success by leading well with influence as opposed to direct authority, dealing well with ambiguity and leading the team through it effectively, advocating and removing obstacles for the team, and maintaining a proactive, problem-solving mindset, all while keeping the teams motivated and engaged.This is not an IT PMO role. We are seeking a program manager with experience in engineering, new product development, manufacturing, or industrial portfolio management.\nWhat You Will Do:\nTake overall responsibility for complete product delivery from requirements and prototype testing through to successful product launch.\nPartner closely with management and business leaders to define program scope, objectives, and robust risk assessments.\nCollaborate with Product Management to establish and define customer and product requirements.\nDirect and coordinate activities of program personnel to ensure programs progress on schedule and within budget while strictly meeting customer requirements.\nAnticipate issues and drive proactive countermeasures to ensure programs meet intended objectives.\nEscalate critical issues and mitigation recommendations to executive leadership in a timely manner.\nResolve people and team dynamic issues to maintain effective performance across the cross-functional team.\nManage intra-program dependencies and their interrelationships, including their impact upon other enterprise programs and projects.\nMentor and coach program team members and non-dedicated project leaders on project management fundamentals and governance.\nSchedule and facilitate timely status review meetings, gate assessments, and progress milestone updates.\nDrive the integrated planning and implementation of multiple cross-functional programs across the organization.\nDrive operational and process efficiencies to actively reduce New Product Development (NPD) cycle times.\nCollaborate with the PMO Leader and other Program Managers across the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) to continuously improve the Trane Technologies Project Development Process.\nLead post-program reviews to capture lessons learned, driving organizational learning and long-term process improvement.\nTravel 10-20%.\nWhat you will bring:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience leading complex New Product Development hardware projects.\nAt least 7 years of demonstrated experience in end-to-end project/program execution within a structured Stage-Gate process.\nProven experience leading diverse cross-functional teams and communicating effectively at the executive (VP) level.\nPMP or equivalent PMI certification required.
