The role focuses on engineering coordination, site execution, technical review, installation supervision, testing, commissioning support, and documentation for HVAC, chiller, and cooling system projects. The position works closely with project managers, design teams, vendors, contractors, and customers to ensure safe, timely, and quality delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport execution of data centre cooling, HVAC, and chiller projects from engineering review through commissioning and handover.\nReview mechanical and HVAC drawings, P&IDs, layouts, BOQs, technical submittals, and vendor documents.\nCoordinate site activities related to chillers, CRAH/CRAC/CDU/FAN WALL units, chilled water piping, pumps, valves, AHUs, heat exchangers, controls, and associated auxiliaries.\nMonitor installation progress and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.\nAssist in planning and coordinating material delivery, equipment installation, site readiness, and contractor activities.\nSupervise mechanical/HVAC works at site and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and project standards.\nSupport testing activities such as pressure testing, flushing, leak testing, balancing, and pre-commissioning checks.\nCoordinate commissioning activities for chillers, pumps, cooling equipment, control systems, and integrated HVAC systems.\nWork with BMS/controls teams to ensure proper integration, point checks, alarms, trends, and sequence validation.\nIdentify technical issues, installation gaps, and site constraints, and escalate them with recommended solutions.\nMaintain daily/weekly site progress records, engineering trackers, snag lists, and issue logs.\nSupport preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, commissioning records, and final handover documentation.\nCoordinate with procurement, vendors, OEMs, contractors, consultants, and operations teams for timely issue resolution.\nEnsure execution in live or critical data centre environments is carefully controlled to minimize operational risk.\nKey Deliverables\nEngineering and site progress reports\nMaterial and equipment tracking logs\nTechnical submittal review comments\nInstallation quality checklists\nTesting and commissioning records\nSnag/punch list tracker\nAs-built documentation\nO&M manual inputs\nHandover dossiers and closure documents\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.\nAdditional training or certifications in HVAC, chiller systems, commissioning, or project execution are preferred.\nSafety certifications or EHS training will be an advantage.\nExperience\nTypically 3-8 years of experience in HVAC/mechanical project execution.\nRelevant experience in data centre projects, mission-critical facilities, commercial HVAC plants, or industrial cooling systems is preferred.\nHands-on exposure to chiller systems, chilled water piping, precision cooling, and site coordination is desirable.\nExperience working in live facilities, retrofit projects, or fast-track MEP projects is an advantage.\nTechnical Knowledge\nChillers and central cooling plants\nHVAC systems and precision cooling applications\nCRAH/CRAC /CDU /SFN systems\nChilled water and condenser water piping systems\nPumps, valves, strainers, and heat exchangers\nAirside and waterside balancing\nBMS/controls interface for HVAC systems\nMechanical installation standards and QA/QC practices\nTesting, pre-commissioning, and commissioning procedures\nBasic understanding of redundancy and reliability requirements in mission-critical environments\nRequired Skills\nSite execution and supervision\nTechnical drawing and document review\nCoordination with vendors and contractors\nProgress tracking and reporting\nProblem identification and resolution\nQuality and safety compliance\nCommunication and teamwork\nTime management and prioritization\nBasic planning and scheduling awareness\nDocumentation and record keeping\nPreferred Competencies\nStrong attention to detail\nPractical troubleshooting ability\nAbility to work in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments\nWillingness to work at project sites and coordinate across teams\nProactive approach to site issues and follow-up\nStrong learning mindset for mission-critical cooling applications\nWorking Relationships\nProject Manager\nMechanical/HVAC Engineering Team\nSite Execution Team\nCommissioning Team\nBMS/Controls Team\nElectrical and MEP Teams\nOEMs and Equipment Vendors\nContractors and Subcontractors\nProcurement, Quality, and EHS Teams\nCustomer and Consultant Representatives\nTypical KPIs\nTimely completion of assigned engineering and site activities\nInstallation quality and compliance\nSnag closure performance\nCommissioning readiness\nDocumentation accuracy and completeness\nSafety compliance at site\nMaterial coordination effectiveness\nIssue resolution turnaround time\nWe offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
