Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.What's in it for you:\nTrane Technologies Connected Solutions Advanced Analytics Team is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join a small-but-growing entrepreneurial technical team that are applying innovative analytic approaches to extremely complex problems in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) space.\nThe Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for building predictive maintenance and anomaly detection models in support of our mission-critical digital strategy initiatives. This role will work closely with the Data Ops Team to deploy and manage the models as well as implement model improvements.\nThis is a high visibility group within Thermo King that is tackling big data problems that have the potential to significantly impact the business performance of the company. This “ground floor” opportunity will give the successful candidate exposure to complex, real-world business problems and the opportunity to make a tangible difference.\nWhat you will do:\nLead the development and implementation of state of the art machine learning models to enable predictive and prescriptive maintenance of components and subsystems (compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, fans, etc)\nTake ownership for the entire data science workflow including project scoping, exploratory data analysis, model development, hyperparameter tuning, testing, deployment and monitoring\nInterface with engineers and modelers to create and improve understanding of predictive and descriptive models\nNetwork across the organization to identify and communicate opportunities to apply data science and machine learning to product design and processes\nMentor and guide other team members and colleagues in the domain area\nWhat you will bring:\nMinimum Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience\nDemonstrated work or educational history in engineering and/or engineering related discipline\nExperience working with machine data / time series data\nUnderstanding of the full life cycle of model development and deployment\n3+ years of experience developing inferential and predictive models\nProficient in Python with experience with data science libraries\nPrior experience writing clean and efficient SQL code\n\nKey CompetenciesUnderstanding of modeling techniques and their appropriate uses; ability to apply common modeling best practices to build models using high-volume, asynchronous time series data\nAbility to apply a catalog of potential analytic techniques to solve a problem and the willingness to try new combinations in a quest for the best solution\nUnderstanding of engineering data and physics-based models and simulations\nExperience in statistical inference, unsupervised machine learning, supervised machine learning, cross validation, hyperparameter turning, and predictive maintenance in real world applications.\nExperience leveraging cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, in the model development and deployment process\nAbility to manipulate and visualize both structured and unstructured dataset\n\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$158,238.33 - $220,955.00Compensation Type:\nSalaryIncentive Eligible:\nYesSales Commission Eligible:\nNoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
