This role involves close communication with data centre customers, strong technical expertise in HVAC and cooling systems, and the ability to manage operational challenges under demanding conditions. The engineer will ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with data centre standards and Trane Technologies’ quality expectations.\nResponsibilities\nProvide technical support, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including data centre cooling solutions and mission-critical equipment.\nCarry out corrective and preventive maintenance for chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers, and associated HVAC infrastructure.\nPerform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, commissioning, and performance optimization for HVAC and data centre cooling systems.\nLead and supervise technicians or subcontractors to ensure timely and quality completion of assigned tasks.\nCommunicate with data centre customers to coordinate work schedules, address concerns, provide updates, and resolve technical issues effectively.\nSupport planning, documentation, and reporting for maintenance schedules and operational activities.\nWork closely with vendors and contractors for job coordination and materials sourcing.\nEnsure all work follows relevant EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards and internal quality requirements.\nRespond to urgent or unplanned maintenance needs; willingness to work extended or irregular hours as required by data centre operations.\nPerform any other duties assigned from time to time.\nRequirements\nDiploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.\nMinimum 5 years of HVAC experience, preferably supporting data centre operations or mission-critical cooling systems.\nStrong technical expertise in chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, HVAC system controls, and cooling optimization.\nExperience engaging with data centre customers and managing customer expectations in a high-demand environment.\nWillingness to work long hours, including after-hours support when required.\nStrong communication, interpersonal, and customer-handling skills.\nPositive attitude, good teamwork, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\nBased in Shah Alam and able to support regional operations as needed.\nWe offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
