In this role, you will architect, code, and optimize simulation applications that support new product development and technology breakthroughs. Your programming expertise will be essential in solving complex performance and reliability challenges across HVAC components and systems. As a subject matter expert in modeling and simulation, you will guide cross-functional teams, integrate software solutions into engineering workflows, and champion best practices in scientific computing and software engineering.\nWhat you will do:\nDevelop 1D steady-state and transient modelling capability for refrigeration systems, electrical systems, and other sub-systems for HVAC&R products.\nMaintain and enhance in-house modeling tools with a focus on code quality, scalability, and performance.\nApply software engineering principles to improve simulation workflows and automate analysis processes.\nStay current with advancements in computational modeling, software development, and simulation technologies.\nCollaborate with systems engineers to integrate simulation tools into the model-based design (MBD) and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) processes.\nConduct code reviews, write unit tests, and manage version control using platforms like GitHub.\nLead end-to-end simulation software projects, including planning, schedules, technical reports, and stakeholder presentations to communicate progress and outcomes.\nWhat you will bring:\nMasters or Doctorate degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, or bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.\nStrong programming skills in Python, C/C++, Modelica, MATLAB, and M-code.\nExperience developing and maintaining simulation software for engineering applications.\n5+ years of experience in HVAC&R equipment and systems, with focus on product design through modeling and simulation.\nExpertise in thermal sciences (thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics) and transport properties of fluids.\nFamiliarity with software development tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.\nExperience with optimization algorithms, numerical methods, and data analysis techniques.\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$105,228.33 - $146,720.00Compensation Type:\nSalaryIncentive Eligible:\nNoSales Commission Eligible:\nNoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
