If the answer is yes, we invite you to consider joining us in boldly challenging what's possible for a sustainable world.\nLearn about our benefits designed for you to Thrive at work and at home.\nWe boldly go.\nWhere is the work:\nOn-Site (5 days) Statutory Account Team Leader (org title = RTR Country Leader Italy - Finance)\nTrane Technologies is seeking a Record to Report (RTR) Team Leader based in Trezzano sul Naviglio, Milan, Italy.\nIn Italy, Trane Technologies operates through four statutory entities covering distribution and service activities, manufacturing, and support functions.\nThis role is part of the RTR Statutory Reporting team, an experienced local team of three, based in Trezzano, within the broader Regional RTR organization of 14 professionals across multiple countries and part of the larger EMEA RTR function.\nReporting to the Record to Report Regional Leader, the successful candidate will oversee statutory finance activities for three of the four Italian legal entities - one in Trezzano and two in Bari and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and statutory books of record, as well as full compliance with local statutory, tax, and corporate reporting requirements, Local GAAP, US GAAP, and Italian tax regulations.\nThe successful candidate will also contribute to process improvement, automation, reporting excellence, and productivity initiatives, while ensuring strong internal controls and high-quality financial governance.\nThis is a full-time onsite role, working alongside your colleagues, with up to 30 days per year of flexible work location.\nMain responsibilities:\nLead and support two experienced team members based in Trezzano\n\nOversee monthly close activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and related accounts\n\nEnsure compliance with Trane Technologies’ Standards of Internal Control, FICAP requirements, and reporting timetables\n\nPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations in line with internal control standards\n\nCoordinate the preparation of statutory financial statements and audit files\n\nManage statutory audits and ensure timely completion of all required statutory filings\n\nSupport the tax function and liaise with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely filing of local tax returns\n\nEnsure compliance with VAT, Corporate Income Tax, and Transfer Pricing requirements\n\nPrepare quarterly US GAAP tax provisions using OneSource for relevant legal entities\n\nLead and participate in MDI initiatives, including AI projects, automation, reporting improvement, and productivity actions\n\nIdentify, address, and resolve compliance issues within the area of responsibility\n\nMonitor and use performance metrics and KPIs to support continuous improvement\n\nBuild effective working relationships with business unit teams and cross-functional stakeholders\n\nInternal interactions:\nRTR Finance Shared Services Team, Bangalore\n\nSenior Finance Leaders for both the RtR function and the Business units\n\nTax , VAT, Treasury and Legal functions\n\nCorporate Reporting team\n\nInternal Audit and SOX teams\n\nExternal interactions:\nExternal Auditors\n\nTax advisors\n\nOdV Supervisory Board (LD 231/2001)\n\nWhat you will bring:\nEssential\nQualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience\n\nStrong experience with financial and tax systems such as Oracle and OneSource\n\nGood knowledge of Italian GAAP and US GAAP\n\nProven leadership capability, with the ability to operate effectively as a collaborative team player and trusted business partner.\n\nExperience as a people manager or coordinator, with innovation and promoting continuous improvement mindset.\n\nStrong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to manage high volumes of data accurately and work effectively under tight deadlines.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; knowledge and practical use of AI applications is considered a strong plus\n\nFluency in English, both written and spoken.
