We boldly go.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Materials Team leader is responsible for coordinating activities throughout materials including but not limited to receiving, warehousing, shipping, and inventory control. They are responsible for leading and coaching MDI. They create, maintain and help ensure standard work is followed. They track shortages, material flow issues, receiving/shipping issues and help provide resolution.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nEnsure safety of employee’s and adherence to EHS requirements\nLead MDI and other related materials activities and meetings\nLeading and training employee’s, providing feedback and coaching\nEnsuring material availability and accurate inventories\nEnsures all transactions and logs are executed correctly and in a timely manor\nEnsures all necessary documents are maintained and filed in accordance with compliance and retention polices\nKey Competencies and Success Factors:.\nAbility to influence, coach and lead others both directly and indirectly\nComputer: High level proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Excel, and Outlook. Capable of learning and utilizing multiple systems and databases.\nCommunication: Strong oral communication and ability to communicate with both internal and external parties involved in scrap, trash, recycling and storage.\nAbility to perform job of employee’s under their supervision\nKnowledge and application of the Lean Principles\nWorks with little supervision\nOther Requirements:\nValid Drivers License and ability to operate powered industrial vehicles\nTrane is a diverse and inclusive environment.
