When not directly interacting with customers; collaborate with colleagues in your office.What’s in it for you\nTrane in Laval is seeking a Technician Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising field-based HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) technicians who repair, retrofit and replace HVAC systems.\nWhat you will do\nLead the training, coaching and development of HVAC technicians.\nProvide technical guidance and day-to-day support to HVAC technicians.\nEnsure health and safety rules and requirements are applied on job sites and participate in the implementation of appropriate policies, procedures and training, including site audits.\nCollaborate with the Service Manager and Health and Safety representative in the event of incidents or accidents.\nSupport the coordination, assignment and dispatch of HVAC technicians.\nWork closely with the Service Manager and Project Administrator to assess job sites, anticipate challenges, gather materials and coordinate on-site work.\nAct as Project Manager for small turnkey service projects.\nPartner with other departments to improve processes and resolve technical issues.\nEnsure the quality of work performed by team technicians.\nManage inventory of supplies and equipment, and help ensure company vehicles remain in good condition through truck audits.\nSupport field technicians in the execution of mechanical and electrical work.\nServe as a direct point of contact for customers, respond to requests and special inquiries, and support team members with customer equipment repair needs.\nEnsure compliance with internal documentation procedures and maintain accurate records.\nHelp structure and organize the team’s work, including service reports, expense reports, vehicle maintenance tracking, invoice copy submission and timesheet entry.\nSupport team members in the use of various technology tools such as XOi, Salesforce, Quick Quote, RMS, WebCATS and ComfortSite.\nProvide recommendations to the Service Director regarding team member performance.\nBe available to work overtime and/or weekends, as required.\nTravel may be required, including occasional overnight stays.\nWhat you will bring\nVocational diploma in refrigeration and air conditioning.\nValid Journeyperson Refrigeration licence.\nGas Appliance Technician Class 1 (TAG-1) certification is considered an asset.\nMinimum of five (5) years of HVAC experience.\nAbility to communicate effectively in both French and English, verbally and in writing.\nStrong technical background and demonstrated team leadership skills.\nProven ability to solve problems effectively and proactively.\nExcellent communication and organizational skills.\nCommitment to continuous improvement and quality.\nPractical knowledge of HVAC products, systems, electronics and controls.\nValid Class 5 driver’s licence held for at least 12 months, with no infractions.\nAdditional requirements and environmental conditions\nMust be able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, fall protection harness and safety boots to perform job duties safely.\nMust be able to rotate the torso 90 degrees in each direction.\nMust be able to squat and touch the floor with both hands.\nMust be able to raise both hands above the head.\nMust be able to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods.\nMust be able to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.\nMust be able to use a ladder safely.\nMust be able to access rooftops using extension and/or fixed ladders at heights of 15 to 20 feet.\nThis role may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, electrical hazards, loud operating equipment and other variable environmental conditions depending on the work location.\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$50.79Compensation Type:\nHourlyIncentive Eligible:\nNoSales Commission Eligible:\nNoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
