The role will also assess current and emerging technologies, translating business requirements into practical infrastructure designs and proposals.\nResponsibilities include:\nSupporting the Technology Senior Leadership Team and wider business management teams in the design and deployment of IT services and infrastructure. \nHelping to define and publish the organisation's IT strategy. \nParticipating in design authority reviews to ensure that proposed solutions are technically appropriate and fit for purpose. \nDeveloping and maintaining IT architecture principles, standards and design-decision libraries. \nProviding governance to maintain alignment between technology, business objectives and customer needs. \nReviewing existing IT services and infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement. \nWorking with key stakeholders and Business Analysts to define and review functional and non-functional requirements. \nAssessing current and emerging technologies and producing supporting specifications, analysis, documentation and costings. \nCoordinating plans and activities with project management teams, internal technology specialists, contractors and third-party providers. \nMaintaining effective architectural and design documentation throughout the lifecycle of systems, services and environments. \nSharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues where appropriate. \nTaking a cybersecurity-first approach to the implementation of systems, services and environments. \nEnsuring proposed solutions adhere to relevant FCA, PRA, TCF and Data Protection/GDPR requirements and applicable best-practice recommendations. \nPerson Specification:\nThe successful candidate will be a strong communicator who can work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will be able to translate conceptual designs into practical solutions and communicate complex technical information clearly.\nYou will hold at least one of the following qualifications:\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or\nMicrosoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert.\nYou will also have:\nExperience of rearchitecting IT solutions for cloud-native and hybrid platforms.\nExperience of translating user requirements into technical specifications and design criteria.\nExperience of producing and maintaining IT solution artefacts, such as design documents, standards documents and IT architecture principles.\nStrong critical-thinking and analytical skills.\nA pragmatic, organised and methodical approach.\nExcellent attention to detail.\nA Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator Associate or Teams Administrator Associate qualification would be advantageous.
