Working as part of a cross-functional Operations and Maintenance team, the IC&E Technician supports preventive and corrective maintenance programs, outage activities, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to the safe and reliable operation of the facility.\nThis is full-time, salaried, safety sensitive position based out of our Kingston Generating station in Kingston, Ontario.\nA DAY IN THE LIFE\nPerform electrical, instrumentation, and control systems maintenance to support plant reliability and availability.\nMaintain safety and environmental monitoring equipment in compliance with regulatory requirements.\nPlan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.\nSupport major maintenance outages and long-range equipment maintenance planning.\nUtilize CMMS and document management systems to maintain accurate maintenance records.\nManage maintenance materials, inventory requirements, and purchasing activities.\nCoordinate and oversee contractors and suppliers for assigned work scopes.\nContribute to maintenance procedures, equipment improvement initiatives, and risk management activities.\nSupport NERC compliance requirements, audits, inspections, and quality assurance programs.\nProvide technical support to Operations and collaborate across the site to achieve plant performance targets.\nABOUT YOU\nJourneyperson certification in Instrumentation, Instrument/Electrician, Electrician, or Power Electrician.\nMinimum 3 years of progressive experience maintaining electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in power generation or a related industrial environment.\nAvailability to participate in an on-call and emergency call-in rotation.\nExperience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).\nKnowledge of inventory management, material procurement, and warehouse practices.\nExperience coordinating contractors and service providers.\nAbility to interpret equipment operating data, instrumentation readings, gauges, and other diagnostic information to support troubleshooting and maintenance activities.\nDemonstrated ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and calibration instruments.\nValid driver's licence.\nRelated technology certification would be considered an asset.\nTHE PERKS\nCompetitive salary\nAnnual incentive program\nPension plan with company-matching options\nHealth benefits for you and your family\nVacation and personal days\nEmployee Rewards & Recognition Programs\nAnnual Wellness Payment\nA reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$94,720 - CAD$130,240 at the time of this posting. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training.
