This role is critical to project feasibility and requires deep understanding of ISO/RTO processes, utility coordination, and grid integration for both generation and large load applications.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nServe as the Project Engineering technical lead for grid interconnection requirements on assigned projects.\n\nTranslate Interconnection Agreement (IA), Generator Interconnection Agreement (GIA), utility, ISO/RTO, and transmission-owner requirements into project engineering requirements.Develop interconnection strategies across projects\n\nManage interconnection applications, studies, and agreements\n\nInterface with utilities and ISOs/RTOs\n\nTrack milestones, timelines, and upgrade costs\n\nIdentify and mitigate interconnection risks\n\nMaintain interconnection positions through COD\n\nTrack technical interconnection issues through resolution.\n\nMaintain traceability between study assumptions, equipment selection, final design, commissioning settings, and as-built configuration.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field.\n\n5+ years of interconnection or power systems experience\n\nDeep understanding of ISO/RTO processes and utility tariffs\n\nExperience with CAISO a plus\n\nExperience with:\n\nLarge load interconnections (data centers)\n\nDER / BTM / hybrid systems applications\n\nStrong technical understanding of transmission and distribution systems\n\nProven ability to manage utility and regulatory relationships\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately under time pressure.\n\nStrong communication skills and the ability to present technical findings in a clear, concise business format.\n\nAbility to work effectively across commercial, operational, and financial teams.\n\nATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS\nHighly analytical, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious.\n\nAble to connect technical analysis to practical commercial outcomes.\n\nStrong sense of ownership and accountability.\n\nComfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.\n\nAble to balance rigor, speed, and business relevance.\n\nInterested in developing into a deeper commercial market and asset-optimization role over time.\n\nWORK AUTHORIZATION\nCandidates must have authorization to work in the US prior to joining TransGrid Energy LLC.
