You'll deliver the project management function in accordance with Transgrid's policies and procedures, working closely with the Project Delivery Manager to keep our Executive Leadership Team informed on project status, performance and plans while ensuring strong collaboration between Transgrid and Lumea.\nA Day in the Life\nLead project elements to deliver on budget, quality, schedule and commercial outcomes across large capital high voltage substations and transmission lines projects\nManage risk, quality, resources, communications, procurement and cost control across your project scope\nSupport project planning and schedule management, monitoring performance and flagging issues early\nEstablish and manage contracts, negotiate with contractors, and monitor contractor performance\nSupport project assurance activities, including Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) construction assurance\nCoordinate third-party interfaces and stakeholder engagement to keep the integrated project schedule on track\nProvide timely, high-quality reporting on project performance, including Management Plans and ad-hoc submissions\nBuild strong working relationships across a highly matrixed organisation, driving a collaborative, high-performing team culture\nWhy This Role Matters\nMajor transmission and substation projects are central to keeping the lights on for communities across NSW and the ACT and to enabling the energy transition. As Project Manager, you'll be a critical link between on-the-ground delivery and executive visibility, helping ensure our capital program is delivered safely, on time, and with integrity.\nAbout You\nTertiary qualifications at degree level in engineering or a related discipline\nExtensive experience managing large capital high voltage substations and transmission lines projects\nStrong business and commercial acumen, with a highly collaborative and decisive working style\nExceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence across a matrixed organisation\nDemonstrated ability to think outside the box and drive change\nProject Management qualifications (diploma, advanced diploma or degree)\nExperience in contract management and negotiation\nExperience directing field construction teams\nExperience negotiating project scope, cost, schedule and risk with customers\nOUR LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES AND VALUES\nCourage, Care, Clarity and Connection.
