Working with research labs and industrial partners worldwide, we are building the production capacity needed for the next generation of cancer treatments.\nABOUT THE ROLE\nAs the HI-BEAM project progresses from conceptual design into experimental validation, Transmutex is expanding its radiochemistry capability to translate established laboratory methods-supported by collaboration with leading international research institutes-into automated, reproducible, and commercially viable production processes.\nWe are seeking a Senior radiochemist to actively contribute to the technical design of Transmutex’ s radiochemistry process, in strong collaboration with renowned research labs. You will report to the Head of Extraction unit and be part of a small international team\nYou will primarily be based in Vernier, GE, with regular travel to Villigen, AG and to partner research labs in North America.\nMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES\nProcess development:\nDesign and optimize radiochemical separation and purification.\nCollaborate across teams to develop radiochemical processes and methodology.\nPerform radiochemical and chemical analyses, including alpha and gamma spectrometry.\nTrack radiochemistry developments and adopt relevant innovations and best practices.\nIndustrialization and operations:\nDevelop the radiochemical process flowsheet, including unit operations, process parameters, material balances, cycle times and waste streams.\ncale up and transfer laboratory processes to a robust and GMP-compliant production line.\nDefine process, equipment, utility, instrumentation and facility-interface requirements.\nSupport equipment selection, sizing, qualification, commissioning and process validation.\nDevelop operating procedures, batch records, control strategies and consumables requirements.\nPrepare laboratory and production operations aligned with capacity and customer needs.\nTrain and mentor colleagues.\nCompliance, quality, and safety:\nWork with QA and Safety to ensure regulatory compliance and meet applicable standards\nImplement and monitor safety protocols and regulatory requirements.\nQUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS\nThe candidates we are looking for must have:\nPhD or Master’s degree in Radiochemistry, Nuclear Chemistry or related field\nA minimum of 10 years of experience in radiochemistry.\nProven experience in radiochemical separation and purification with strong knowledge of actinide chemistry.\nIn-depth understanding of radiochemistry processes, equipment and tools.\nMastery of characterization, alpha or gamma spectrometry, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, liquid scintillation counting, or comparable analytical techniques.\nDemonstrated knowledge of safety, radioprotection and GMP regulations and requirements. \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders across disciplines. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges.\nProven experience in translating lab-scale processes to GMP production line would be an asset\nFluent in English. Excellent knowledge of French or German would be an asset\nTERMS AND CONDITIONS\nStart date: early 2027, and no later than April 2027\nLocation: Vernier, GE, with monthly presence at Villigen, AG; Switzerland.
