Associate Vendor Manager is responsible for guiding vendors through our recruitment and certification program, including documents signature and collection, testing, rate negotiation and systems according to specialized skill-sets, following the company’s testing and onboarding documented process and using the required platforms\nNegotiate preferred rates with onboarded vendors according to company, department or project needs\nPromote newly recruited and tested vendors to the appropriate Production teams for use on live projects and to Internal Linguists’ teams for training opportunities\nAssist Production and Sales teams on a daily basis with vendor onboarding and certification-related issues and questions\nEstablish and maintain excellent relationships with contract vendors, Production staff and internal teams globally\nHelp vendors with any issues or questions they may have, as well as ensure good communication between external collaborators and internal employees\nAssist with administration tasks as required by the team\nDiscuss with the direct manager to find a viable means of making processes more efficient\nProactively seek additional tasks and duties to benefit TransPerfect as a whole\nResearch and understand all industries that TransPerfect markets to, including industry leaders, current events and any other pertinent data\nComplete any other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager/supervisor\nRequirements\nREQUIRED SKILLS:\nStrong organizational skills with attention to detail\nAbility to support multiple requests by keeping accurate and up-to-date tracking\nAbility to maintain and update vast amounts of information accurately\nAbility to negotiate rates according to pre-defined budgets\nEffective time management and ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines\nAbility to prioritize activities on a daily basis to accomplish request steps effectively and efficiently\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English\nHigh sense of urgency\nGood interpersonal skills in a public-facing setting\nShow accountability in their daily work\nProactive in anticipating needs or issues, as well as supporting the team\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent\nDESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nExperience in negotiation and persuasion\nCustomer service
