The day-to-day work of this role will support all stages of the employee lifecycle including answering general questions, facilitating training, and partnering with management to resolve employee relations issues. The Manager, Human Resources is responsible for evaluating employee programs, making improvements to employee relations policies, and making sure all employee-related policies align with corporate goals and established local regulations. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with local labor legislation requirements and labor reporting; as well is responsible for making sure all local employment policies and processes are secured and followed. The Manager, Human Resources will work closely with the rest of the HR team to ensure timely deliverables of projects, policies, and division specific process improvements.\nDESCRIPTION\nManage a team of HR professionals that support the location.\nOversee and improve the payroll process by partnering with a third-party payroll vendor.\nPartner with management to understand and resolve complex employee relations issues including providing guidance on company policies and procedures, advising on disciplinary action, writing performance improvement plans, and addressing general concerns.\nOversee employment-related investigations.\nSupport processes through the employee lifecycle including performance management, organizational change, and conduct issues.\nReview employee handbooks and SOPs for legal compliance, maintain, and make updates as required.\nEnsures all employment practices comply local employment laws and regulations.\nEnsures the new hire orientation process properly introduces new employees to the corporate and divisional cultures.\nEnsures development and delivery of trainings for management on HR policies and procedures, such as effective communication, offboarding, progressive discipline process, as well as annual compliance training for employees.\nOversee and review HR processes related to the location, and initiate changes to improve efficiency and scalability.\nRepresent TransPerfect at all Ministry of Labor and Court hearings.\nLead Health and Safety initiatives + the report on workers compensation\nManage and also oversee interactions with the Ministry of Labor on employee issues.\nRepresent TransPerfect at any other Government agency that requires TransPerfect information, such as Free Zone Council, DGII, Dirección General de Impuestos Internos, SISALRIL, and IDOPRIL\nManage liaison with legal external provider on ongoing legal cases and counsel as necessary\nManage all legal labor processes with TransPerfect upper management\nPerform other special projects or duties when required.\nREQUIRED SKILLS\nExceptional interpersonal skills, relationship-building and an ability to connect with employees and management\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish are required\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) with preference in Workday experience\nMust be pro-active, have a good attitude, be self-disciplined, and self-motivated\nMust be a \"take-charge\" person with a demonstrated ability to follow situations\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS\nMinimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related business field\n5 years of experience in HR\nMinimum of 3 years managing HR professionals\nHR call center experience preferred\nExperience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork in a diverse environment\nExperience in performance management, employee relations, talent acquisition, and the ability to apply this information in a manner compliant with relevant employment law\nLocal employment law experience preferred\nHR certification preferred\nDESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nExperience using Workday\nBi-lingual in English and
