This role sits at the intersection of technology, business, and finance, helping TransUnion improve how it understands, governs, and optimizes cloud, AI, and infrastructure spend.\nIn this role, you will transform raw cost, usage, and capacity data into transparent dashboards, actionable insights, and measurable business value. You will partner closely with Technology Strategy & Governance, Cloud Engineering, Finance, Product Engineering, Platform Engineering, and business stakeholders to support FinOps governance, cost transparency, capacity planning, optimization tracking, and executive reporting.\nThis is a high-visibility, high-impact role for someone who enjoys connecting technical data with financial discipline and business decision-making in a large-scale enterprise technology environment.\nBuild and maintain cloud, AI, and infrastructure cost dashboards for leadership, engineering, finance, and business stakeholders.\nAnalyze cloud spend, infrastructure usage, capacity trends, cost variances, and optimization opportunities.\nTranslate technical cost and capacity data into business and financial insights that support executive decision-making.\nProduce monthly reporting inputs, executive scorecards, and governance materials for cloud and AI economics.\nDevelop capacity utilization reporting across cloud compute, storage, database, network, server, VMware, middleware, and related infrastructure domains.\nConsolidate demand signals from engineering and business teams into a forward-looking view of capacity requirements.\nSupport performance and capacity analysis by working with application and platform owners on right-sizing, configuration, query/index optimization, and infrastructure improvement opportunities.\nTrack cloud commitments, reservations, savings plans, committed-use discounts, GPU utilization, and other capacity or consumption-based economics.\nManage the optimization pipeline from opportunity intake through prioritization, implementation, and Finance-validated value realization.\nIdentify spend accountability gaps and help route ownership to the appropriate engineering, product, platform, or business teams.\nSupport the FinOps governance calendar, ensuring operational changes align with finance close, forecasting, budgeting, and planning cycles.\nPartner cross-functionally across technology, business, and finance teams to improve cost transparency, accountability, and measurable outcomes.\nRequired Knowledge And Experiences\nExperience in cloud financial management, capacity planning, IT finance, infrastructure reporting, or a related analytical field.\nWorking understanding of enterprise infrastructure including server, storage, network, virtualization (VMware), database, middleware, and common operating systems.\nSolid understanding of infrastructure and business capacity planning, with demonstrated reporting and performance analysis skills.\nWorking knowledge of public cloud platforms - GCP and/or AWS - including cloud cost fundamentals such as committed-use discounts, savings plans, tagging, and resource lifecycle.\nProficiency in Google BigQuery for querying and analyzing cloud cost and usage datasets.\nStrong analytical skills with proficiency in reporting and analysis tools including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with cloud cost tooling such as Harness CCM is a plus.\nExperience building capacity utilization reports across storage, server, VMware, database, and network infrastructure domains.\nAbility to manage current usage statistics and develop projected growth estimates from business demand signals.\nClear, professional written and verbal communication skills - able to translate complex infrastructure and cost data into actionable insights for audiences at all levels.\nProven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and competing deadlines.\nSelf-starter who works well independently and collaborates effectively within a cross-functional team.\nThe ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gather team consensus to move initiatives forward.\nGOOD TO HAVE\nFamiliarity with FinOps principles and frameworks - FinOps Foundation certification (FOCP or equivalent) is a plus.\nScripting or automation skills such as VBA, PowerShell, or SQL to improve reporting efficiency.\nExperience with Splunk or similar observability/analytics platforms for infrastructure performance analysis.\nExperience integrating cloud economics data into financial planning workflows such as forecasting, budgeting, or chargeback/showback.\nBackground supporting a federated or matrixed technology organization.\nFamiliarity with workflow and ticketing systems such as JIRA or ServiceNow/Remedy.\nExperience with AI/ML or GPU infrastructure cost reporting and governance.\nTransUnion Overview:\nAt TransUnion, we encourage and are committed to creating a real, positive impact and shared sense of purpose within our Workforce for Good, which empowers our people to grow, innovate and contribute to a better future for our communities and customers.
