Team Overview

We are building a modern AI platform focused on agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), intelligent automation, semantic knowledge systems, ontology-driven architectures, and reusable platform services. As a Senior Advisor, Technical Product Management, you will play a critical leadership role in translating emerging AI opportunities into scalable platform capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple business domains.

This role is ideal for a deeply technical product leader who enjoys operating at the intersection of engineering, platform architecture, and business innovation.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Advisor, GenAI Technical Product Management to join our AI Platform Product organization. This role is not a traditional business product management position. Instead, it sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Architecture, and AI Innovation, requiring a leader who can operate deeply within the technical implementation details while maintaining a platform and business-value mindset.

As a senior technical product leader, you will help shape and deliver foundational AI capabilities that support TransUnion's long-term vision for Agentic AI, Semantic Intelligence, Context-as-a-Service, Knowledge Graphs, AI Governance, and Intelligent Decisioning. The ideal candidate combines technical depth, product thinking, and execution rigor, with the ability to move seamlessly from architecture discussions with engineers to strategic conversations with product and business stakeholders.

Drive GenAI Platform Product Strategy

Own key areas of TransUnion's AI Platform roadmap, helping define and scale reusable capabilities including:

• Agentic AI frameworks

• Knowledge and context services

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

• Semantic intelligence layers

• Ontology-driven architectures

• Agent governance and observability

• MCP-enabled integrations

• Enterprise AI platform capabilities supporting multiple business domains

Develop roadmaps and investment cases that balance near-term business value with long-term platform strategy.

Serve as the Technical Product Lead for AI Platform Capabilities

Unlike traditional PM roles focused primarily on business requirements, this role works directly alongside engineering teams to define both the "what" and some of the "how."

You will:

• Translate business opportunities into scalable platform capabilities.

• Define architecture-aligned requirements and technical specifications.

• Shape non-functional requirements including latency, scalability, security, explainability, observability, and performance.

• Participate in technical tradeoff discussions involving:

  • Hosted versus local LLM deployments

  • Prompt engineering versus fine-tuning

  • Agent orchestration patterns

  • Vector search and retrieval strategies

  • Knowledge graph and ontology design

  • Inferencing architectures

  • Context management and memory frameworks

Success in this role requires the ability to engage credibly with Principal Engineers, Architects, AI Engineers, and Engineering Leaders.

Bridge Product Vision and Engineering Execution

Partner closely with:

• AI Engineering

• AI Architecture

• Platform Engineering

• Solutions TPMs

• Product Organizations

• Data Science and Analytics Teams

Solutions TPMs often bring forward the business problem and desired outcome. This role is responsible for translating those opportunities into platform-ready capabilities and technically actionable engineering requirements.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

What You'll Bring

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, Platform Product Management, Software Engineering, Solution Architecture, or related technical disciplines.
• Experience building or managing platform products used by multiple teams or business domains.
• Experience working directly with engineering organizations on highly technical initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience translating complex technical concepts into product strategy and executable roadmaps.

Strong Technical Knowledge In Several Of The Following Areas

• Generative AI and Large Language Models
• Agentic AI systems
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• AI inferencing architectures
• Model hosting and deployment strategies
• Prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks

• Semantic layers and ontologies
• Context engineering and memory architectures
• AI governance and observability
• Cloud-native architecture and distributed systems
• APIs, microservices, and platform design

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience launching enterprise AI or machine learning products.
• Experience working on AI platforms, developer platforms, or enterprise-scale technology platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks, agent orchestration tools, or rapid prototyping environments.
• Familiarity with knowledge graph technologies, semantic intelligence systems, or ontology-driven architectures.
• Experience supporting globally distributed engineering organizations.
