The team is part of Global Payroll. This role reports to Senior Payroll Manager.\n\nThis is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview and Core Responsibilities\nProvide dedicated internal oversight of payroll tax compliance and serve as a key control within the payroll function.\nOwn payroll tax reconciliations and monitor federal, state, and local payroll tax activity to identify and resolve discrepancies.\nManage payroll tax notices, agency inquiries, filing and payment discrepancies, escalations, and account-related issues through resolution.\nCoordinate with the third-party payroll tax provider regarding tax filings, payments, registrations, and account issues while maintaining internal ownership and oversight.\nSupport quarter-end and year-end payroll tax activities to help ensure accurate and timely payroll tax administration.\nResearch payroll tax requirements and regulatory changes and support appropriate compliance with applicable requirements.\nMaintain accurate, audit-ready payroll tax documentation and support appropriate internal controls.\nPartner with Payroll, HR, Finance, service providers, and other business stakeholders to resolve payroll tax issues.\nIdentify opportunities to improve payroll tax processes while helping reduce compliance and financial risk.\nRequired Knowledge and Experiences\n3+ years of payroll tax experience with strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements.\nExperience supporting multi-state payroll, including payroll tax reconciliations, tax notices, agency inquiries, and filing and payment discrepancies.\nExperience working with third-party payroll tax providers to support filings, payments, registrations, account issues, and issue resolution.\nStrong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nAbility to develop effective cross-functional relationships with Payroll, HR, Finance, service providers, and other business partners.\nRequired Technical Skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel for payroll tax analysis and reconciliation.\nWe’re also looking for the preferred skills below.
