This role reports to the Director, Data Science & Analytics.\n\nThis is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities\nThis role exists to develop and deliver analytics solutions that help clients make better risk, growth, and customer decisions. Through advanced modeling, data analysis, and consulting engagements, the role contributes to improved portfolio performance, operational efficiency, customer acquisition strategies, and business growth outcomes.\nCore Responsibilities\nDesign and deliver analytics consulting engagements that help clients improve risk management, customer acquisition, portfolio optimization, collections performance, and customer engagement outcomes.\nDevelop actionable insights and analytical solutions using credit bureau data, alternative data, portfolio information, and market intelligence to support data-driven business decisions.\nPartner with commercial, product, technology, and client stakeholders to define business objectives, scope analytical initiatives, and align deliverables with measurable client outcomes.\nConduct exploratory data analysis, segmentation, benchmarking, performance monitoring, and portfolio diagnostics to identify opportunities and quantify business impact.\nSupport the development, validation, implementation, and monitoring of analytical models, scores, attributes, and decision strategies that improve predictive performance while maintaining governance standards and reducing risk.\nCommunicate findings and recommendations through executive presentations, dashboards, reports, and business cases that support informed decision-making across technical and business audiences.\nAssess data quality, availability, and readiness to determine the feasibility, effectiveness, and potential value of analytics initiatives and consulting engagements.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to operationalize analytics solutions and support scalable deployment across clients, industries, and markets.\nSupport client workshops, identify opportunities for expanded analytical engagements, and contribute to business growth through increased solution adoption.\nContribute reusable analytical assets, methodologies, case studies, and best practices that improve delivery efficiency and accelerate client value.\nRequired Knowledge And Experiences\nMinimum of 3 years of experience developing analytical, statistical, or machine learning models within financial services, credit risk, analytics consulting, or related industries.\nStrong understanding of predictive modeling techniques, model development processes, and model performance evaluation methodologies.\nExperience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a collaborative business environment.\nHands-on experience using Python and/or R for analytics, statistical modeling, and solution development.\nBachelor's degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Financial Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.\nRequired Technical Skills\nStrong knowledge of statistics, probability, predictive analytics, and quantitative methodologies.\nAdvanced proficiency with SQL (Structured Query Language) for querying, analyzing, and managing large datasets.\nUnderstanding of credit risk analytics, portfolio management concepts, and performance measurement techniques.\nExperience working with cloud-based analytics platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Databricks, or Dataiku.\nExperience using data visualization and business intelligence tools to communicate insights and support decision-making.\nDesired Skills\nWhether you are already proficient or looking to continue growing your expertise, we support development in the following areas:\nExperience managing analytics projects and stakeholder expectations across multiple business initiatives.\nExperience documenting analytical methodologies, technical processes, and model development practices.\nPrior consulting or client-facing analytics experience.\nKnowledge of model governance, validation, and analytical risk management practices.\nExperience working with credit bureau data and financial-services datasets.\nTransUnion Overview:\nAt TransUnion, we encourage and are committed to creating a real, positive impact and shared sense of purpose within our Workforce for Good, which empowers our people to grow, innovate and contribute to a better future for our communities and customers.
