The role will involve the analysis, review, and interpretation of various real estate documents such as leases, abstracts, operating statements, and market information. Our Financial Analyst will be integral to developing complex financial models to help clients understand the potential implications of their real estate decisions and researching market conditions to support financial scenario assumptions. This position offers the opportunity to work under the direction of senior consultants and peers in a mentoring environment.\nThe role encompasses a range of responsibilities and skills that are focused on the financial analysis of real estate strategies for commercial office occupiers and owners. The candidate must be proactive, ambitious, and perform at a high-level in a customer-focused, highly time-sensitive, and collaborative atmosphere. A strong grasp of real estate and financial principles as well as modeling concepts are essential to the success of this role.\nPOSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nCreate complex and comprehensive financial models to help clients understand the economic implications of various real estate occupancy and ownership strategies.\nAnalyze market statistics, trends, leases, draft detailed abstracts, and summarize key lease clauses and economics.\nResearch and analyze building ownership and tenant profiles.\nDevelop customized client presentations and deliverables.\nAnalyze, review, and interpret real estate source documents, including leases, abstracts, operating statements, rent rolls, and other due diligence material.\nPrepare executive summaries and deliver business cases, reoccurring client reports, and client presentations that influence the decision-making of client leadership.\nOrganize transaction related documents and term sheets\nSupport transaction management with prospecting and pitching new business.\nOther duties as assigned.\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\nBachelors degree with high academic achievement in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.\n2+ years’ experience within commercial real estate industry, preferably tenant representation.\nRelevant real estate, research, finance, accounting, or economics experience.\nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Adobe.\nExperience with LeaseCalcs a plus.\nExperience with CoStar and other related CRE software a plus\nStrong understanding of financial concepts (i.e., Discounted Cash Flow, NPV, IRR, etc.)\nAbility to review, analyze and interpret source documents, including leases, operating statements, budgets, etc.\nKnowledge of Tableau or Power BI, decision science tools and stochastic modeling (Palisades suite, Python, R) and other business platforms a plus.\nMust demonstrate an aptitude for building and understanding financial models.\nIntellectual curiosity with a demonstrated enthusiasm for the commercial real estate industry.\nExcellent quantitative and analytical skills in combination with outstanding communication skills (both oral and written).\nSelf-starter with sharp focus on details with an awareness of the bigger picture.\nA sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results in a challenging, fast-paced, environment.\nAbility to work effectively and remain organized within a team and with all levels of personnel.\nProfessional demeanor and positive attitude.\nDemonstrate intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills.\nStrong analytical, oral and written communication skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively present information.\nSelf-motivated, team orientated and strong time management skills.\nCreative thinker comfortable working in a fluid, dynamic setting.\nThe qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented.\nOperates with a high degree of integrity and has ability to maintain discretion regarding personnel and industry-related matters\nReliability a must.\nAbility to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing.\nAbility to communicate information and ideas in writing, graphics, and orally so others will understand.\nSalary Range: $75,000 - $100,000\nEligible for performance based bonus program.\nWORK SHIFT:\nLOCATION:\nWashington, DCABOUT US\nOur firm is built on a shared purpose: Empowering good people to do extraordinary things together.
