The Senior Accountant will report to the Senior Vice President of Accounting and work closely with other investment team members with respect to the Firm’s financial, accounting, and tax compliance operations.\nPOSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nSupport Senior Vice President of Accounting in managing daily accounting and back-office processes for TIG and its private equity funds.\n\nUtilize accounting software (MRI) to manage fund-level books and financial records, including monthly journal entries, general ledger review, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.\n\nOversee fund level treasury functions including wire set up and bank account management and assisting with capital calls and distributions.\n\nPrepare quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements.\n\nAssist in managing and oversight of third-party fund administrators.\n\nSupport annual audit and tax process for each private equity fund and separate account.\n\nAssist with overseeing property level accounting and review monthly property financial statements.\n\nAssist in managing various service providers across the platform including: third party property managers, auditors, tax consultants, and banking relationships.\n\nManage investor portal website including financial, tax and asset updates and other ad-hoc investor requests.\n\nPerform various ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.\n\nCommunicate effectively with clients, external auditors, tax preparers, and team members, as required.\n\nOpportunity to work directly with large institutional clients in fulfilling investor requests.\n\nDue to the core functions of this role, a consistent, in-office presence for this role must be sustained.\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance or accounting.\n\nMinimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate or public accounting.\n\nRelevant tax experience is preferred.\n\nCPA or significant progress towards CPA is a plus.\n\nApplicable experience in real estate accounting software, preferably with MRI and/or Yardi.\n\nExperience recording journal entries and managing a general ledger.\n\nKnowledge of current accounting methods (cash and basic accruals) along with the ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).\n\nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe.\n\nSubstantial quantitative and analytical skills.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nComfortable working in a small, team-oriented environment and with minimal supervision.\n\nStrong work ethic and attention to detail.\n\nHighly organized, able to manage large amounts of written and electronic data.\n\nMotivated and willing to work overtime as needed.\n\nWORK SHIFT:\nLOCATION:\nDallas, TXABOUT US\nOur firm is built on a shared purpose: Empowering good people to do extraordinary things together.
