You must be comfortable with travel and staying away when required.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n1) Electrical Installation & Technical Works\nWiring, Testing, Installation and Commissioning of Control Panels, Motor Control Centres and Associated Equipment. \nCarry out electrical terminations, modifications, and repairs in accordance with drawings and specifications. \nSupport electrical testing, fault-finding, and commissioning activities. \nOnsite Fault Finding and Modification of Electrical Control Systems. \nEquipment Selection and Purchasing. \nPre-Contract Site Surveys. \nCreation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Site Progress Reports and Other Site Paperwork.\nBuild and wire backplates and control panels within Workshop when not on site.\n 2) Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)\nComply fully with Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and site HSE procedures. \nFollow safe isolation, lock-off, and permit-to-work systems. \nWear appropriate PPE and use tools and equipment safely. \nParticipate in site inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments. \nReport hazards, near-misses, and incidents promptly. \n 3) Quality Assurance & Compliance\nEnsure all electrical work complies with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) and project requirements. \nInspect own work and rectify defects where required. \nAssist with QA/QC checks, inspections, and testing procedures.\n4) Documentation & Reporting\nComplete electrical installation records, test sheets, and inspection certificates accurately. \nAssist in updating as-built drawings and handover documentation. \nProvide progress updates to Senior Electricians or Supervisors. \n5) Teamwork & Coordination\nWork effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary site team including mechanical and civil trades. \nSupport Senior Electricians and Electrical Supervisors as required.\n Communicate clearly with colleagues regarding work progress and technical issues.\n6) Core Values:\nUphold and promote the Company’s Core Values - Care, Trust, Respect and Sustainability. \nWhat We’re Looking For\nEssential\nCurrent JIB / ECS card\nNVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)\nElectrical installation on industrial / heavier industry projects (minimum 2 years)\nFull UK driving licence\nWhy Join Trant?\nAt Trant Engineering, we deliver complex, high-value engineering and construction projects across the UK.
