We're hiring a Senior BD Manager to own new coin listings on Travala end-to-end - sourcing targets, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals. Listings may be structured as a traditional paid fee or as an in-kind token arrangement, decided deal by deal - the specific structure isn't the focus of this role, closing quality listings is.\nThis is a hunter role, not a strategist or management role. You'll have sales collateral and initial market research to build from - you're not starting from a completely blank page.\nWhile this is a fully remote position, candidates based in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region are preferred to align with working hours across our wider growth team and key internal departments, with flexibility for exceptional candidates in other locations.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn the full listing deal cycle: prospecting, outreach, pitching, negotiation, and closing - across paid listings and in-kind/token-based listing arrangements\nBuild and actively manage a prioritized pipeline of target projects, using our existing research as a starting point and expanding it over time\nRepresent Travala directly to token project founders, BD leads, and treasury teams to pitch new listings\nNegotiate commercial terms within approved guardrails, and manage the process through to signature\nKeep leadership updated on pipeline status, deal velocity, and market feedback on our listing offering\nBuild strategic token partner relationships to drive revenue, while identifying broader ecosystem or co-marketing leads for internal teams.\nAct as primary BD liaison for internal teams (product, legal, marketing, finance) to coordinate workflows, documentation, and compliant token integration.\nResearch and stay up to date with cryptocurrency market trends, emerging tokens, and innovative blockchain projects to identify potential listing opportunities.\nWhat's Not in Scope\nTo keep this role focused and avoid overlap with our marketing team, the following sit outside this role:\nPost-signature announcements, co-marketing, and campaign work - owned by our CMO's team once a deal is signed.\nBroader strategic partnerships beyond listings (e.g. major platform integrations) - owned separately.\nManaging other BD staff - this is an individual contributor role, not a management position.\nWhat You'll Have From Day One\nSales collateral and initial market research to support outreach and pipeline-building\nDirect access to leadership for deal support and approvals - no bureaucratic layers slowing down a close\nRequirements\n5+ years of professional experience in business development or sales within the blockchain or cryptocurrency industry.\nDeep understanding of Web3, including tokenomics, crypto payments, wallets, and market trends.\nGenuine Web3/crypto BD experience - you already understand how token teams evaluate exchange listings and partnership offers.\nExisting relationships in the space are a critical component - warm pipeline beats cold outreach.\nSenior enough to run a full deal cycle independently, without needing management oversight at each step.\nGenuinely commission-motivated. This role is structured for someone who wants their effort and results to show up directly in their paycheck - not someone seeking a flat, low-variability package.\nStrong sales instincts and comfort with rejection - this is a quota-driven, outbound-heavy role.\nNot looking for a “Head of BD” or management title - this is a hands-on, deal-closing role by design.\n Exchange-side experience (Preferred): Prior experience on a listings/BD team at a crypto exchange is a strong plus - you understand how listing conversations and decisions actually get made from the other side of the table.\nBenefits\nCompensation: Competitive Base Salary + Uncapped Commission, depending on experience.
