The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.\nSalary Range\n$55,200.00 - $91,100.00Target Openings\n1What Is the Opportunity?\nAs a Claim Rep, Auto Damage, you will support our customers and third-party claimants through the claims process when they experience vehicle damage. In this role, you will serve as a trusted resource and will deliver exceptional customer service by providing clear explanations of policies and coverage options while investigating and evaluating claims to ensure accurate payments.What Will You Do?\nManage auto physical damage claims from first notice of loss through resolution and settlement, handling low to moderate complexity cases, including total loss evaluations and vehicle repair oversight. Types of claims are typically multi-vehicle (2 or more cars) auto damage with unclear liability and no injuries.\nEvaluate and analyze policy terms, conditions, and exclusions to determine coverage, liability, and damage; negotiate equitable settlements within your authority.\nCoordinate and partner with appraisal team(s) and repair facilities to obtain necessary information and ensure thorough accurate damage assessments and timely claim resolution.\nLeverage all internal and external resources to conduct thorough investigations to gather all relevant facts accurately document findings in the claim management system and maintain accurate records of claim activity in claim management systems.\nDetermine settlement amounts based upon appraisal estimate, negotiate and convey claim settlements within authority limits to insureds and claimants. As appropriate, write denial letters, Reservation of Rights and other necessary correspondence to insureds and claimants.\nProvide timely and professional communication to customers, representatives, and internal stakeholders.\nAdapt to new technology implementations, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts, particularly in the areas of AI while maintaining productivity and service quality.\nAcquire and maintain relevant Insurance License(s) to comply with state and Travelers’ requirements within three months of starting the job.\nPerform other duties as assigned. \nWhat Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?\nBachelor’s Degree.\nTwo years of auto claim handling experience.\nActive adjuster license, where applicable.\nProficient in claims management systems with advanced skills in Microsoft Office and enterprise technology systems and platforms.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.\nAbility to exercise sound judgement and make effective decisions.\nExceptional customer service skills and commitment to providing a positive experience for customers throughout the claim process.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nDemonstrated conflict resolution skills; ability to facilitate productive discussions and reach equitable outcomes.\nAbility to manage stress, navigate difficult situations, and maintain composure and professionalism under pressure while always taking accountability for decisions.\nBasic understanding of insurance principles and terminology, state insurance regulations and claim handling requirements.\nAbility to quickly learn from experience and apply it to new situations with speed and flexibility.\nWhat is a Must Have?\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nOne year auto claim handling experience or comparable claim experience, or successful completion of Travelers Auto Claim Representative training program.\nWhat Is in It for You?\nHealth Insurance: Employees and their eligible family members - including spouses, domestic partners, and children - are eligible for coverage from the first day of employment.\n Retirement: Travelers matches your 401(k) contributions dollar-for-dollar up to your first 5% of eligible pay, subject to an annual maximum.
