Our award-winning culture of collaboration and diversity provides meaningful options for community involvement and will encourage you to learn and grow in ways you never expected.\nWhat Will You Do?\nLead critical software engineering projects that present a high degree of complexity and span various emerging technologies.\n\nSeek opportunities where technology can be utilized to improve the business and provide more efficient processes.\n\nCollaborate with a robust team of engineers while providing technical guidance and mentorship and fostering a team environment.\n\nOversee complex analysis, advanced level design, debugging, configuration and development of functions for impactful and high-visibility tasks.\n\nResearch and apply knowledge of current industry trends and techniques to formulate solutions for software engineering problems.\n\nAct as a technology advocate seeking opportunities to improve business outcomes and increase our business capabilities to benefit our customers.\n\nLead the team to tackle high-visibility business initiatives while shaping the scope of the project.\n\nDesign, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions using AWS native services.\n\nDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.\n\nMonitor system performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal uptime and performance.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices.\n\nStay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and DevOps methodologies.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nWhat Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?\nComprehensive of programming/development experience.\n\nConsiderable experience as a DevOps Engineer.\n\nStrong proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, SNS, SQS).\n\nExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.\n\nProficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.\n\nExperience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.\n\nKnowledge of CI/CD concepts and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.\n\nAWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus.\n\nBachelors degree preferred in in Technology or a similar field (or equivalent experience).\n\nExcellent delivery skills including the ability to determine the software design strategy and methodology to be used for efforts, use automated tests, analysis, and informed feedback loops to ensure the quality and production readiness of work before release, monitor the health of work efforts and that of adjacent systems.\n\nDemonstrated track record of domain expertise including the ability to influence priorities by identifying solutions that are aligned with current business objectives and closely follow and apply industry trends.\n\nStrong problem solving skills with the ability to utilize data and proofs of concepts to find creative solutions to difficult problems with broad implications.\n\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to develop business partnerships, describe technology concepts in ways the business can understand, document initiatives in a concise and clear manner, and empathetically and attentively listen to others thoughts and ideas.\n\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to take action even when there is no clear owner, inspire and motivate others, and effectively influence team members.\n\nWhat is a Must Have?\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience.\nStrong programming/development experience.\nWhat Is in It for You?\nPrivate Medical Insurance: On commencement of employment, you are eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for your dependents, at your expense through payroll deduction.\nRetirement: Travelers will make a core contribution of a percentage of salary to your Pension Plan.
