Together, let's create something greater than ourselves.\n POSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Patient-Specific Design Engineer creates patient-specific surgical plans and devices from patient imaging and owns each case from intake through surgeon plan approval. The engineer works directly with surgeons to define each patient’s custom surgical plan, works with quality and operations to deliver surgical plans and guides on time, and helps improve and automate the patient specific workflow.\nPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nCheck incoming CT scans for image quality and suitability for design\nSegment anatomy and build 3D models using image segmentation software\nCreate pre-operative plans, including deformity correction, resections and alignment, and present them to surgeons for review and approval\nLead virtual planning calls with surgeons to gather design requirements and adjust plans to their preferences\nDesign patient-specific cut guides and related instruments in Solidworks, applying design for additive manufacturing principles\nWork cross-functionally to ensure high-quality and timely production and delivery of custom guides\nSupport surgeons and sales team in the operating room\nOperate CT scanner to capture cadaveric specimen scans for research, marketing, and sales labs\nCoordinate with Marketing and Medical Education departments to support cadaveric labs\nSuggest process and design automations and provide input on improvement projects\nEnsure compliance with HIPAA and internal quality assurance standards\n EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical or biomedical engineering, or a related engineering field, required\nUp to 2 years medical device development experience including internships preferred\n All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\n Treace's Privacy Policy\nIt is Treace’s policy not to discriminate against any applicant for employment, or any employee because of age, color, sex, disability, national origin, race, religion, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
