Together, let's create something greater than ourselves.\n POSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Patient-Specific Design Engineer is responsible for generating 3D CAD designs of patient-specific products from the initial patient need identified through to final manufacture and delivery. This position may entail working with surgeons to determine patient needs and support high-quality production and inspection of the finished product. This role may also support ongoing product development, process improvement, and automation projects to further the development of patient-specific devices, including 2D and 3D drawings, sharing technical and process expertise on project teams, creating technical documentation, etc.\nPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAnalyze CT scan data, and design patient-specific cut guides using image segmentation software and SOLIDWORKS for 2D and 3D modeling\nInteract with surgeons to determine patient-specific needs for their case, and how best to deliver a patient-specific cut guide to meet their needs\nWork cross-functionally to ensure high-quality and timely production and delivery of custom guides. Perform quality checks as needed\nCreate pre-operative plans for surgeons to use in cases\nSupport software developers and project engineers as a point-of-contact.
