accuracy and professionalism.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of accounting and tax services.\nPerform controller-level responsibilities for various clients, including financial reporting and accounting oversight.\nReview bookkeeping records, compilation engagements, and tax returns prepared by team members.\nPrepare compilation engagements, financial statements, and Canadian corporate tax returns.\nAssist with review, audit, and consulting engagements as needed.\nPrepare and review GST returns, T4 and T5 information returns, and personal income tax returns.\nOversee payroll processing and review payroll records for accuracy and compliance.\nBuild and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.\nMentor, train, and support junior accounting staff to ensure quality and efficiency.\nManage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.\nIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement efficient workflows.\nPerform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nCPA or CA designation is required.\nMinimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, preferably with a small or mid-sized Canadian accounting firm.\nStrong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards, taxation, and financial reporting requirements.\nExperience preparing and reviewing Canadian corporate and personal tax returns.\nHands-on experience with compilation engagements, financial statements, and bookkeeping reviews.\nProficiency in Caseware, Profile, and Microsoft Office applications.\nFamiliarity with QuickBooks Online and Xero is preferred.\nExperience overseeing payroll, GST filings, and T4/T5 information returns.\nPrevious experience supervising, mentoring, or reviewing the work of junior accountants is an advantage.\nExcellent written and verbal English communication skills.\nStrong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.\nComfortable learning new accounting software and adopting technology to
