Profile match
Treatwell is a London marketplace company founded in 2008 that books hair and beauty appointments online. Its platform combines a consumer booking site with salon management software that handles calendars, payments and stock. The company operates across a dozen European markets.

We’re looking for a brilliant PR Manager to build Treatwell’s reputation and share of voice across Europe.

Sitting within our Global Brand team, you’ll lead PR across industry, consumer and corporate communications. You’ll help make Treatwell famous with beauty customers while strengthening our position as the platform shaping the future of the hair and beauty industry.

This is a strategic and hands-on role. You’ll set the European PR strategy, manage our network of agencies and work closely with local teams to turn global stories into locally relevant moments. From consumer campaigns and cultural trends to industry insight, product innovation and partner success stories, you’ll find the stories that earn attention and build credibility.

You’ll need to understand both sides of our marketplace: the consumers looking for their next treatment and the salon professionals building their businesses on Treatwell.

Requirements

Lead our European PR strategy

  • Develop and deliver an integrated PR strategy across Treatwell’s European markets, supporting our brand and commercial priorities.
  • Build Treatwell’s share of voice across consumer, beauty, business, technology and industry media.
  • Create a clear, proactive communications calendar spanning campaigns, cultural moments, company news, product launches, industry trends and thought leadership.
  • Balance global consistency with the local relevance needed to make stories land in different European markets.
  • Identify opportunities for Treatwell to lead conversations about beauty, technology, entrepreneurship and the future of the industry.

Build consumer fame

  • Lead PR for Treatwell’s brand campaigns, partnerships, activations and key trading moments.
  • Turn Treatwell’s data, expertise and customer behaviour into timely, culturally relevant stories.
  • Build strong relationships with beauty, lifestyle, travel and consumer media across Europe.
  • Work closely with Brand Marketing, Social, Content, Influencer and Creative teams to create joined-up campaigns with earned potential built in from the start.
  • Keep Treatwell connected to beauty culture, emerging treatments, talent, trends and the conversations shaping how people discover and book beauty.

Strengthen our B2B and industry reputation

  • Position Treatwell as a trusted authority and champion for hair and beauty professionals.
  • Develop compelling stories about our partners, technology, innovation and contribution to the industry.
  • Build strong relationships with beauty trade, business, technology and entrepreneurial media.
  • Create thought leadership platforms for senior leaders and internal experts, including commentary, bylines, interviews, speaking opportunities and industry events.
  • Work closely with Commercial, Product and Supply teams to uncover proof points, partner stories and industry insights that demonstrate Treatwell’s value.
  • Ensure the voices and realities of salon owners, stylists and beauty professionals are represented authentically in our communications.

Lead agencies and local-market activation

  • Manage Treatwell’s European PR agencies, in collaboration with Local Marketing Managers and Country Leads, setting clear briefs, priorities, targets and standards.
  • Ensure agency plans are strategically aligned, locally relevant and delivering measurable value.
  • Work closely with local market teams to identify opportunities, adapt global narratives and activate campaigns effectively.
  • Give markets the tools, messaging and assets they need to move quickly while protecting a consistent Treatwell narrative.
  • Review agency performance, budgets and ways of working, continually improving the effectiveness of our PR model.
  • Build strong relationships across markets and create a collaborative PR community that shares ideas, opportunities and learnings.

Protect and grow our reputation

  • Own Treatwell’s core messaging and ensure it is clear, consistent and compelling across markets.
  • Support corporate communications, company announcements and executive profiling. Working closely with our People team.
  • Anticipate reputational risks and develop clear, considered responses.
  • Coordinate issues and crisis communications across internal teams, agencies and markets when required.
  • Monitor the media landscape and wider cultural conversation, helping the business understand emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Establish clear reporting that connects PR activity to reach, relevance, reputation and commercial impact.

What we’re looking for

  • Significant experience in PR or communications, either in-house, agency-side or across both.
  • Experience leading communications across multiple European markets.
  • Strong knowledge of the beauty and wellness landscape, including the consumer, cultural and commercial forces shaping the industry.
  • A proven ability to deliver both consumer and B2B PR. You know how to create excitement around a brand while also building serious industry credibility.
  • Experience managing multiple PR agencies, budgets and cross-market programmes.
  • An excellent editorial instinct. You know what makes a strong story, why it matters now and which audience will care.
  • Strong relationships across consumer, beauty, business, technology or trade media, with the ability to build new networks across markets.
  • Experience developing thought leadership and working with senior spokespeople.
  • The ability to turn data, business priorities and complex product stories into clear, human narratives.
  • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong judgement, particularly when managing sensitive or reputational issues.
  • A collaborative approach and confidence working across Brand, Commercial, Product, Growth, Data and local market teams.
  • Commercial awareness and a clear understanding of how PR contributes to brand growth and business performance.
  • Fluency in English. Additional European languages would be an advantage.

You’ll thrive in this role if you

  • Are equally excited by a beauty trend, an industry insight and a smart business story.
  • Think strategically but are happy getting into the detail and making things happen.
  • Understand that the strongest European work is rarely one-size-fits-all.
  • Know how to bring structure, clarity and accountability to a complex market and agency network.
  • Are curious about culture, consumer behaviour and the changing world of beauty.
  • Can influence confidently, challenge constructively and build strong relationships across different teams and markets.
  • Want to help build a brand that is culturally relevant, commercially effective and genuinely valuable to the professionals at the heart of the industry.

What success looks like

  • Treatwell grows its share of voice and quality of coverage across priority European markets.
  • Our global campaigns earn strong, locally relevant media attention.
  • Treatwell becomes a more visible and trusted voice within the hair and beauty industry.
  • Consumer, B2B and corporate narratives work together to build one clear, distinctive reputation.
  • Agencies and local teams operate against shared priorities, with stronger accountability and measurable outcomes.
  • Treatwell’s spokespeople, partners, expertise and data are consistently turned into credible, compelling stories.

Benefits

We’ll treat you with:

  • 28-days holiday, plus bank holidays
  • Monthly €/£40 Treatwell vouchers so you can treat yourself too
  • Mental health support through our partnership with Plumm
  • Benefits platform offering cycle to work scheme, high street discounts and other perks
  • Growth funds for you to develop and grow with your team
  • A beneficial pension scheme and enhanced parental pay & leave policy
  • A dynamic organisation with Thursday drinks in the office
