Treble Technologies is an Icelandic software company that develops a cloud platform for acoustic simulation, using wave-based and geometrical methods to predict how sound behaves in buildings, vehicles, devices and virtual environments. Its products include a web application for acousticians and architects and an SDK that generates synthetic audio data for training voice and audio AI models. The company is headquartered in Reykjavík, Iceland.

Treble is building the acoustic intelligence platform for the next frontier of AI and audio technology. We bring together physics, AI, and simulation to give teams the synthetic data and development tools to design devices, develop algorithms, and train and evaluate AI systems at scale. From wearables and voice AI to physical AI, world models, and multimodal foundation models, our ambition is to shape how intelligent systems hear, understand, and interact with the world. Our customers include some of the world's leading companies in AI and consumer electronics, putting our technology at the heart of ambitious developments in audio and intelligent devices.

Founded in 2020, Treble is growing rapidly. With strong funding, deep scientific roots, and an exceptional international team, we are expanding our presence in the US and building technology with global reach. Joining now means helping shape both our platform and its adoption by teams working at the frontier of AI.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Field Application Engineer to join our US team in the Bay Area and play a key role in driving the successful adoption of Treble’s SDK. This is a highly technical, customer-facing pre-sales role working closely with sales, product, and R&D.

You will take ownership of the technical side of deals, from first deep-dive conversations through proof-of-concept work and successful onboarding.

You will work directly with technically sophisticated customers to understand their challenges and demonstrate how Treble’s SDK and simulation capabilities can deliver measurable improvements in their audio AI systems and audio device products. The role requires strong technical depth combined with a clear understanding of commercial goals.

You will also act as a critical feedback channel into product and R&D, ensuring that customer needs and market signals directly influence the evolution of Treble’s platform.

Your tasks include:

  • Own the technical evaluation phase of enterprise deals, working closely with sales to drive successful outcomes
  • Design and deliver compelling technical demos, benchmarks, and proof-of-concept projects using the Treble SDK as a simulation platform
  • Engage directly with customers at all levels such as:
    • Work hands-on with prospects to solve complex problems in audio AI, spatial audio, and acoustic simulation
    • Help customers integrate Treble’s SDK into existing ML, signal processing, and production workflows
    • Answer advanced technical questions related to simulation accuracy, performance, scalability, and data quality
    • Tailoring technical discussions and demos for engineering managers and executives.
    • Support pricing discussions and value articulation by translating technical capabilities into customer impact
  • Collaborate with product and R&D teams to translate customer feedback and objections into product improvements
  • Create reusable technical assets such as demos, example projects, documentation and reference workflows to support sales at scale
  • Support onboarding and training of newly signed customers
  • Represent Treble in technical meetings, workshops, and selected industry events
    • Expected 20-30 travel days a year for on-site customer support and demoes as well as conferences and trade shows

What we are looking for:

  • Strong technical background in acoustics, simulation, audio signal processing and AI.
  • Hands-on experience with audio ML systems, spatial audio and multi-channel audio processing, audio hardware development
  • Solid programming skills (Python), CAD skills
  • Ability to combine deep technical problem solving with a commercial mindset
  • Comfortable leading technical discussions with senior engineers, researchers, and decision-makers
  • Clear communicator who enjoys explaining complex technical concepts and value propositions
  • Self-driven, hands-on mindset with strong ownership and follow-through
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth scaleup environment

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or field engineering role
  • Familiarity with synthetic data generation
  • Experience supporting enterprise AI or developer tools
  • Background in audio hardware, voice tech, or AI systems
  • Experience working with long, complex sales cycles

If you enjoy owning the technical side of deals, working closely with advanced customers, and helping turn cutting-edge audio AI technology into real business impact, we would love to hear from you. Even if your experience does not perfectly match every qualification, we still encourage you to apply. You may be a great fit for this or other roles at Treble.

What we offer:

  • Competitive compensation, including stock options and the opportunity to share in Treble's growth
  • Deep technical challenges at the intersection of physics, simulation, and AI, with direct impact on customers' products and commercial success
  • Direct collaboration with leading AI and consumer technology companies building next-generation devices and intelligent systems
  • A key role in scaling Treble's acoustic intelligence platform, with direct influence on product direction through your work with customers
  • A highly flexible, family-friendly work environment built on trust, ownership, and autonomy
