{"id":1272888,"url":"https://alion.io/job/tredence-inc-lead-data-scientist-2","title":"Lead Data Scientist","company":{"id":1263,"name":"Tredence Inc","domain":"tredence.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/tredence-inc","size_band":"51-200","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"SmartRecruiters","truth_index":null},"role":"Data Science","role_family":"Data Science","seniority":"lead","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Bengaluru, India"],"countries":["IN"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":30000,"max_usd":53000,"period":"year","method":"role_seniority_country_remote_cell","sample_n":16},"experience_years_min":1,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Machine Learning","optional":false},{"name":"Python","optional":false},{"name":"LLM","optional":true}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-08-31T06:57:39Z","employer_posted_date":null,"last_verified_at":"2026-08-31T06:57:39Z","board_verified":false,"closed_at":null,"days_open":44,"trust":{"level":"not_scored","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":44},"description":"Job Description :\n\nWe are looking for an experienced Lead Data Scientist / Technical Lead to lead a pod of Data Scientists and drive the end-to-end development and deployment of accelerator-led Data Science and AI solutions for enterprise clients.\n\nThis is a deeply technical role involving hands-on Data Science, technical leadership, people mentoring, project delivery and client management.\n\nThe candidate will own solutions from problem definition through solution deployment and ensure high-quality, scalable and business-oriented outcomes.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\n- Lead a team/pod of Data Scientists and provide strong technical direction and guidance.\n\n- Own end-to-end solution development from problem definition, data preparation and model development to validation, optimization and deployment.\n\n- Translate complex business problems into effective Data Science and AI solutions.\n\n- Work with structured and unstructured data, including text, images and other enterprise datasets.\n\n- Design, develop and optimize Machine Learning and Deep Learning models for real-world business use cases.\n\n- Apply expertise in LLMs and Generative AI to develop innovative enterprise solutions.\n\n- Ensure algorithm and model quality through appropriate evaluation metrics, experimentation and continuous optimization.\n\n- Demonstrate strong hands-on programming capabilities in Python and sound knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.\n\n- Review technical solutions, code and modelling approaches and ensure adherence to best practices.\n\n- Mentor and guide junior Data Scientists, support their technical development and encourage knowledge sharing.\n\n- Work directly with clients to understand requirements, define solutions and communicate technical approaches and outcomes.\n\n- Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams and other stakeholders to ensure successful and timely delivery.\n\n- Identify technical risks and drive appropriate solutions throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nRequired Skills :\n\n- Strong hands-on expertise in Python.\n\n- Strong understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms.\n\n- Strong knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning.\n\n- Practical understanding of LLMs / Generative AI.\n\n- Experience handling structured and unstructured data, including Text and Image data.\n\n- Strong experience in data loading, validation, cleaning and preprocessing.\n\n- Ability to develop, evaluate and optimize Data Science algorithms.\n\n- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\n- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.\n\n- Proven experience mentoring and guiding Data Scientists.\n\nPreferred Skills :\n\n- At least 1 year of people management experience.\n\n- Experience in Data Science consulting or client-facing project delivery.\n\n- Experience in productionizing and deploying Data Science/AI solutions.\n\n- Exposure to cloud, MLOps or modern AI engineering practices is an advantage.\n\nEducation & Experience :\n\n- BE/B.
