Our Product Management Team is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Software Defined Radios. This position is responsible to define, develop and market tactical wireless networking products. Enhancing cohesiveness and maintaining team morale is a responsibility of all our team members, as is the ambition for self-improvement and talent development. Through this dedication to unity and professional advancement, each team member is directly impacting the successful outcome of TrellisWare’s deliverables and setting the tone for our core values of delivering excellence, pushing boundaries, and empowering people.\nThe essential duties and responsibilities include:\nDefine the products:\nCollect and synthesize information from customers, partners, competitors, and internal organizations such as engineering and business development teams as inputs to product concept development and product planning\nPerform market analysis for current and future products and technologies\nDevelop and refine product strategy and roadmap with clear product positioning and rigorous business case support\nPerform technical and business trade-offs of various product concepts and features\nDevelop and manage detailed executable product requirements-based product strategy and roadmap\nDefine product price target based on market analysis and product positionin\nDevelop the products:\nOwner of radio product’s technical and business performance\nWorking with program management, engineering, business development and production teams to ensure successful execution of product development and release\nEnsure that products meet all key criteria, such as specified functionality, performance, manufacturability, reliability, marketability, cost targets, and sustainability\nPerform product life-cycle management\nMarket the products:\nSupport business development team in marketing product and technologies to potential customers and markets. TrellisWare’s products target the military, public safety and industrial sectors.\nAs the key technical interface with customers, serve as the technology evangelist in promoting innovative mobile ad-hoc networking (MANET) products and technologies\nGain deep understanding of customer and market needs and issues, and develop the right solution with the right products to solve customer’s problems\nSupport product related Bid and Proposal (B&P) efforts\nWrite whitepapers and proposals to support marketing and B&P efforts\nDevelops relationships with team members built on trust and respect.\nEducation and work experience requirements are:\nBachelor's degree in electrical or software engineering or related field of study required. Master's degree or higher preferred\nMinimum 3-5 years of product management experience in a relevant market\nMinimum 8 years of overall technical or business experience in a relevant market\nStrong product development background in wireless communication hardware is highly desired\nTo be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here:\nSound business acumen and advocate for continuous improvement of processes and procedures\nStrong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence\nAbility to mentor and coach junior employees in professional development and process improvement\nCritical thinking and quick learner in both technical and business domains\nCapable of both strategic and tactical thinking\nFamiliarity with wireless communication waveform and networking technologies\nStrong technical understanding of software defined radio (SDR) hardware design, including digital processing and RF design\nStrong understanding of tactical radio systems (including radio accessories) is required.Understanding of competitive landscape of SDR market and user experience of SDRs and accessories is required\nExperience in SDR and accessories life-cycle management\nExperience in product cost management\nExperience in make/buy decisions\nExperience in accessory vendor and supplier management\n\nAbility to explain complex technical information to technical AND non-technical audiences in an accurate but understandable way\nStrong presentation and verbal/written communication skills\nAbility to collect and synthesize information from domain experts, including external customers and internal experts\nStrong understanding of requirement management and risk management\nAbility to build personal and professional bridges across various organizations and to lead without authority\nWorks independently, demonstrates initiative and interacts with a variety of technical and business teams\nDemonstrates strong documentation skills and proficient with PC office applications\nStrong collaborative drive and interpersonal skills\nStrong initiative, proactive work ethic and prioritization skills\nTrustable judgement and analytical problem-solving skills\nEffective execution and decision making\nChampion of change and promotes innovation\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nThe physical demands described here represent those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
