There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III). The level will be determined by experience, ability to assume various roles on the plant floor, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solve machine issues resulting in efficient cycles and minimal downtime.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerform work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.\nFollow standard work procedures to operate and maintain assigned machine(s).\nRoutinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards.\nEnsure product meets certain tolerances and specifications.\nPerform routine inspections per quality standards.\nUnderstand production instructions.\nMaintain accurate paperwork.\nPackage, label, and store products.\nCross-train on other production functions as business need dictates.\nClean and maintain assigned area to ensure proper functionality.\nReport and assist with resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues.\nParticipate in the continuous improvement process.\nIf appropriate, set up and operate various off-line and secondary equipment.\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENT:\nNo formal educational required. \nEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:\nMachine Operator: 0 years of experience\n\nMachine Operator II: 1+ Years of experience\n\nMachine Operator III: 3+ Years of experience\n\nPrevious experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment requiring speed and dexterity is preferred.\n\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:\nForklift certification preferred. \nOTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:\nAbility to function effectively in a team setting.\nAbility to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.\nDemonstrates reliability, flexibility, and dependability.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.\nBENEFITS:\nThe hourly range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $17.25 and $19.55.
