Altogether, Tremco CPG companies operate 21 manufacturing facilities, 6 distribution sites, and 3 R&D/technology sites, and employ more than 2,700 people across North America.\nGENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:\nThe Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities are broad and include safety, product quality, process control, productivity improvement, and development of a LEAN culture. The Manufacturing Engineer is expected to spend a significant amount of time on the floor and lead large capital project teams.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSafetyAssume a leadership position at the facility in partnership with the Plant manager and shift supervisors. Activities include resolution and communication regarding safety issues. \nExecute on scheduled PHA’s and JSA’s.\nProactively monitor area and remediate potential safety issues.\nUse DAKOTA software as a tool for compliance and environmental, health and safety. Use the tool to report incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.\n\n LEAN CultureActive participant in MS-168 Management Operating System.\nDevelop and execute upon “standard work” activities.\nContinuous Improvement champion promoting and driving the “Small K” program.\nConduct “GEMBA Walks” daily. Use walks as the primary means of education and communication of expectations. \nImprove productivity through elimination of non-value-added activities. Apply Engineering principles and methodologies to Improve productivity and eliminate waste.\nMaintain and continually improve the plant layout and flow.\n\nComputer SoftwareMust be proficient in using 3D CAD and Adobe Photoshop software’s 3D CAD.\nAdobe Photoshop.\nMicrosoft Applications.\n\nProduct QualityWork to maximize equipment efficiency and quality for output.\nAssist in the training of operators with a focus on quality critical product specifications and process parameters.\nMust be proficient at equipment. Tooling, and process troubleshooting and design.\n\nProject ManagementMust be capable of successfully managing multi-million dollar projects on time and on budget. \nManages and coordinates large equipment installations and process implementations.\n\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENT:\nBachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET Accredited university \nEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:\nTwo to four years related experience and/or training \nPLC and equipment controls. \nElectrical troubleshooting.\nMechanical systems knowledge.\nTransmission and motional control.\nP&ID and control drawing interpretation. \nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:\nSix Sigma Green Belt.\nSix Sigma Black Belt preferred.\nOTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nUnderstanding process variance and the resultant effects on Quality.\nKnowledge of applied statistics.\nAbility to perform problem analysis utilizing problem solving methodology.\nKnowledge of SAP systems.\nMicrosoft Suite of Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).\nAbility to work with employees at all levels of the organization.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit,
