Corp, Corsicana, TX chemical manufacturing plant. Partners with the Plant Controller and plant leadership to deliver accurate financial reporting, support operational decision-making, ensure compliance with policies, and drive cost efficiency.This position will report to the Plant Controller onsite at the plant.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nFinancial Analysis & Reporting\nTrack and review all manufacturing spending; propose reclassification entries or accruals as necessary and note anomalies for management.\nPerform financial and manufacturing analysis including variance analysis, forecasting, and reporting.\nProvide COGS forecasting including standard cost, PPV, and manufacturing variances.\nInvestigate and explain financial variances.\nPrepare plant reports including explanations of variances .\nLiaise with internal/external auditors for quarterly and annual audits.\nInventory & Cost Accounting\nManage inventory accuracy, reconciliations, and financial impact analysis.\nPerform cost runs and validate product costing working closely with Engineering\nAnalyze production and purchase price variances.\nMonth-End Close\nPrepare journal entries including accruals and reclassifications.\nReconcile accrual and prepaid accounts.\nSupport audits.\nEnsure confidentiality and integrity of financial data and ensure compliance with GAAP, Tremco CPG Policies and SOX internal controls.\nReview Trade and Intercompany Revenue and COGS to ensure accuracy and help ensure Intercompany receivables / payables are in balance.\nBudgeting & Planning\nSupport annual budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.\nCalculate labor and overhead rates.\nBusiness Partnership\nProvide financial insights to plant leadership.\nSupport operational efficiency and cost improvement projects.\nSupport Corporate requests for data including Government surveys and Tax requests.\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENT:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.\nEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:\nMinimum 3 years’ experience in commercial construction. \nMinimum 3 years’ experience in Project Management. \nFour to seven years of relevant experience.\nSAP Experience primarily in GL, Costing, Procurement and Inventory in a manufacturing environment. \nHigh level analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to recognize errors and/or inconsistencies and take action. \nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:\nCPA or CMA preferred.\nOTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:\nStrong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced understanding of Excel.\nWork in Plant business office environment with regular visits out into the chemical plant. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to speak with all levels.\nHigh degree of flexibility, organizational and time management skills required to effectively handle multiple concurrent projects, a fluctuating workload and rapid changes in priorities. \nAbility to work overtime when required for closing activities, budget deadlines or special projects. \nMinimal travel is required (TRAVEL REQUIRED:\nMinimal travel is required (\nWORK LOCATION: Corsicana office\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, taste, and lift up to 25 lbs.\nBENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:\nThe salary range for applicants in this position depends on skills and experience.\nThe Company offers a variety of benefits to its employees, including but not limited to health insurance, paid holidays, paid time off, 401(k) Savings and Trust & Plan with company match, Company Pension Plan, Performance Based Bonus/Commission, and continuing education.
