Altogether, Tremco CPG companies operate 21 manufacturing facilities, 6 distribution sites, and 3 R&D/technology sites, and employ more than 2,700 people across North America.\nGENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:\nThe Production Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely. There are three Production Operator levels (I, II, & III). The level will be determined by experience, ability to assume various roles on the plant floor, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solve machine issues resulting in efficient cycles and minimal downtime. The Production Operator will operate production equipment, including industrial blenders, in accordance with the established production schedule.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerform work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.\nFollow standard work procedures to operate and maintain assigned machine(s).\nRoutinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards.\nEnsure product meets certain tolerances and specifications.\nPerform routine inspections per quality standards.\nUnderstand production instructions.\nMaintain accurate paperwork.\nInspects equipment, structures, and materials to identify problems or defects prior to production to ensure a clean, clear and safe work environment.\nReads and follows work orders and formulas to meet production specifications and schedules.\nExamines materials, ingredients, or product per quality standards.\nWeighs or measures materials, ingredients, and products per requirements.\nAdds and mixes raw materials according to specifications.\nTransfers materials, supplies, and products between work areas.\nDischarges blenders of powder when necessary.\nEnsures quality and conformity of blended products to meet standards.\nEnsures equipment is set-up, cleaned, sanitized, and operating properly before, after and between runs.\nCompletes cleaning logs and notifies quality control for hygiene testing.\nRecords operational and production data on specified forms/production documents.\nReports malfunctions to a supervisor and confirms proactive and routine maintenance.\nConducts on-going assessment of quality control and operational procedures.\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENT: No formal education required.\nEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: No prior experience or training.\nOTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION:\nAbility to function effectively in a team setting.\nAbility to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.\nDemonstrates reliability, flexibility, and dependability\nModels the values and expectations of 168 - integrity, responsible entrepreneurship, commitment and moral courage.\nDemonstrates accepted ethical and professional business behavior.\nExecutes ISO authority and responsibility. Reports suspected violations including those of a business associate.\nObserves all safety procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses and maintains equipment and materials properly.\nBENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:\nThe hourly rate for applicants in this position generally ranges between $18.50 and $18.50.
