We are a world leader in solving complex waterproofing and roofing problems for our commercial, institutional, and industrial customers.\nIf you’re looking for a place to build a career, with great benefits, advancement opportunities, technology, people and a commitment to a sustainable future, you’ve found it with us.\nWe are currently looking for a Regional Controller (Plant) in Georgia, US.This position provides oversight for financial controls, policies and processes, and use reliable information and analysis to support and guide operations activities and strategic direction for the Georgia, US manufacturing and distribution sites.\nThis is a hybrid position, in which at least three days a week onsite at the plants is required.All sites are within driving distance.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: \nThe following duties and accountabilities apply to the plants and distribution centers in Georgia, US.\nCompliance AccountabilitiesEnsure understanding of and compliance with internal controls.\nEnsure alignment of plant accounting RPM policies and standard costing methodologies.\nEnsure alignment with CPG operations accounting processes.\nSafeguard company assets and monitor for fraud. \nAssist in managing approval levels.\nLiaises with internal/external auditors as required. \n\nCapital Investments and Fixed Assets\nEnsure projects are properly justified (financial models) and prioritized for maximum return on investment.\n\nMonitor capital approvals, spending, and CIP, ensuring that projects are closed in a timely manner.\n\nCoordinate fixed asset inventories and monitor fixed assets for impairment or disposal.\n\nAssist in the management of capital critical spares and central stores (where applicable).\n\nAssist in the evaluation of taxability of purchases and capital projects.\n\nFinance PartneringSupport and increase financial acumen across all plant departments.\nLiaison between operations, corporate finance, and the business.\nLead and support continuous improvement initiatives. Measure and analyze both lagging and leading indicators (KPIs) to improve processes and overall plant performance. \nActive participant in SIOP.\nAssist in green belt projects and measuring cost savings initiatives.\n\nReporting and Variance AnalysisProduces executive summary report and plant metric files. \nTracks and reviews all manufacturing spending; propose reclassification entries or accruals as necessary and note anomalies for management. \nAnalyzes process order variances and works with plants to correct any errors. \nReviews purchase price variance accounts and works with purchasing and plants to correct any errors. \nMonitor scrap and inventory adjustments against a target.\nProvides weekly forecasting on costs of goods sold (COGS) and variances. \nMeasure inventory levels and throughput to assist in working capital targets.\nProvide plant management team or corporate accounting with financial data as required. \n\nMonthly, Quarterly & Annual activities: Prepares monthly journal entries. \nEvaluate OSD (Obsolete, Slow Moving, Distressed) inventory for adequate reserve balances, and work with operations to ensure inventory is being reviewed and disposition considered on a regular basis. \nAssist in planning, monitoring, and reconciling cycle counts and full physical inventories. Provides inventory accuracy and completeness data and recommendations to leadership. \nAssist with Census/Tax requests as needed \n\nAnnual BudgetingWork directly with plant management on annual budgets including assumptions, data validation, and variance analysis.\nCalculate annual labor and overhead rates for all cost centers. \nProvide input for assessment percentages. \nPrepare financial exhibits and variance schedules as required. \n\nPerform ad-hoc projects and analysis as requested. \nEDUCATION \nFinance or Accounting degree (Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university)\nEXPERIENCE\n10+ years of operational accounting experience\nCPA or MBA is a plus, but not required.\nAbility to influence others and drive change\nHigh-level analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to organize data and draw relevant conclusions, recognize trends and/or inconsistencies and take action.\nHigh degree of flexibility and organization and the ability to effectively handle multiple concurrent sites and projects, a fluctuating workload, and changes in priorities\nDetail, process, and procedure oriented\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to speak with various levels of the organization, both within and outside of finance\nAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (formulas, pivot tables, visuals)\nFamiliarity with accounting/financial reporting software and tools (SAP, Hyperion HFM, OneStream,Power Query/Power BI)\nUnderstanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:\nOTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION:\nAbility to work overtime when required for closing activities and special projects\nSubstantial amount of PC work is required\nAt
