With operations spanning North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, India and Latin America, Tremco CPG has a global presence supported by regional businesses and distributors who understand local market needs for commercial, industrial and residential construction and restoration projects.\nGENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Tremco CPG is seeking an applicant with a demonstrated knowledge of sealant/coating formulations across multiple chemistries, with a focus on reactive, one component systems and butyl technologies, and would be responsible for all efforts regarding new developmental projects and operational and supply chain support regarding them.\nThe incumbent in this role will advance projects effectively once given guidance from senior leadership and communicate project updates to assist in tactical decision making regarding the area of their expertise. They will demonstrate competency regarding adaptability, resourcefulness, collaboration, and accountability to drive projects to completion when working individually or within a group dynamic.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead and supervise research projects that deliver business results\nLead multiple project activities through a defined product development process\nOversee the design of experiments to evaluate and optimize the performance attributes of these technologies\nUnderstand process capability, design selection criteria, and/or structure-property relationships for developed products\nAssure and validate proper documentation of responsible technical and experimental activities\nPresent work and subject matter cross-functionally to facilitate discussion with stakeholders\nExplores conceptual ideas to prove or disprove concepts\nAbility to travel as required up to 10% \nEDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or polymer science\nEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: 4+ Years' experience in at least 3 of the following areas\nReactive Chemistries (1 and 2K polyurethanes, hybrids, and silicones)\n\nFormulation and new product development experience \nKnowledge of adhesive and sealants market \nTechnical services and applications testing preferred\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.\nBENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:\nThe hourly rate/salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $93,350 and $116,688.
