YOUR INTERNSHIP

This is a paid 8-month work placement where you will join TrendAI's Hyperautomation Team or one of our business teams depending on your preference of whether you are more business or tech focused. You will also take part in our Career Success Ready Programme - designed to support you and to set you up for a successful career, not just to get through the placement. We have a strong track record of converting placements into graduate roles. Over the last five years, 82% of our intern graduates have gone on to join us permanently. There may also be opportunities to travel to other European offices and work with colleagues from across the globe - we have 27 different nationalities in our Cork Operations Centre.

The Role

We are seeking motivated and forward-thinking Digital Transformation Interns to join our team. In this role, you will gain hands on experience in leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance business processes, improve efficiency, and drive organizational growth. Our Digital Transformation intern roles are tailored to both business-focused and technically minded students, ensuring you find the perfect role that aligns with your interests and strengths. You will be part of teams that bring together people, process, and technology to ensure Trend Micro and our customers stay secure.

Based on your strengths and interests, we will tailor your internship experience to align with the areas that make the most sense for you and the business. This approach ensures you gain valuable experience in areas that best match your skills and aspirations whilst also fulfilling some of our business needs.

Some Key Learning Opportunities (dependent on whether you are technically focused/business curious or a mix of both)

• Support Digital Initiatives - Assist in digital transformation projects, focusing on process automation, digital integration, and technology adoption.
• Data Analytics & Insights - Collect and analyse data to support digital initiatives, using tools like SQL and Power BI. Utilisation of BI insight will enable the business to understand customer behaviour and data.
• Technology Implementation - Participate in the implementation of new digital tools and platforms. Assist in configuring, testing, and deploying software solutions that streamline business processes and enhance user experiences. This is an opportunity to focus in on your technical skills in an environment that encourages innovation and automation.
• Project Management - Support project management activities, ensuring the successful delivery of impactful projects.
• Innovation & Research - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in digital transformation, AI, Automation, and other relevant technologies. You will gain hands-on experience with industry-leading cloud applications and tools such as Microsoft Power Platform and AI technologies.

Technology Exposure

You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools, including:

• Collaboration Tools - Microsoft Teams, Atlassian Confluence, SharePoint
• CRM & ERP Systems - Microsoft Dynamics
• Microsoft Power Platform - Power Automate, Power Apps
• Data Analysis & AI - SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric
• AI Tools & Platforms - Copilot Studio, Azure AI Studio/Foundry and open-source LLM tooling (e.g. LangChain, Dify)
• Coding - Coding, vibe coding, configuration and scripting activities (for those who want to deep-dive into more technical areas; optional)

Your Profile

• Currently participating in a bachelor’s degree such as Business Information Systems, IT Management or AI/Automation related discipline. We are open to all undergraduate programs, provided you can demonstrate a strong personal motivation to learn aspects of any of the following (all not mandatory): Business/Automation/AI/Machine Learning.
• A team player with a positive, approachable, and confident personality.

• A strong understanding of quality customer service and customer success.
• An excellent communicator with strong written and spoken English skills.
• Motivated, driven, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
