Role Overview

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will architect and deliver high-quality frontend solutions while spearheading our transition toward an AI Development Lifecycle (AIDLC). You will deeply integrate AI-enabled tools, agents, and workflows into every phase of frontend development. This role involves close collaboration with designers, backend engineers, product managers, and marketing teams to build user-centric experiences that drive conversion, measurable analytics, and meaningful business impact.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Gemini…) to accelerate frontend development, enhance code quality, and streamline UI/UX design workflows
• Review AI-generated code for security, accessibility, performance, and architectural fit; establish safe AI workflows and best practices across the team
• Design and implement scalable frontend architecture using React/Next.js; optimize for Core Web Vitals, SEO, and user experience
• Architect systematic GA4/GTM event tracking and data layer design; move beyond page-level tracking to reusable, maintainable event schemas
• Leverage AI (Claude, Gemini, etc.) as your technical consultant to independently research, design, and implement headless WordPress integration solutions (WPGraphQL, REST API); architect seamless CMS-to-frontend data flows and backend knowledge without relying on backend team support
• Work with product and marketing teams on requirement discussions, cross-team integration, conversion optimization, and user success
• Conduct code reviews and establish quality standards; mentor junior engineers on clean architecture, accessibility (WCAG), and performance optimization
• Troubleshoot and debug complex frontend issues; identify root causes and implement effective, scalable solutions
• Enhance development and deployment processes; automate frontend testing, builds, and release pipelines to improve efficiency and reliability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience
• 3+ years professional frontend development with demonstrated success building production systems
• Deep proficiency in React/Next.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+, async patterns, state management)
• Demonstrated success in adopting an AI development lifecycle (AIDLC) to scale output while maintaining strict quality and architectural standards
• Strong foundation in system design-not just implementing features, but architecting scalable solutions; document decisions and communicate trade-offs
• HTML/CSS mastery-rendering performance, accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, Core Web Vitals optimization
• Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD processes; comfortable with GitHub Actions or similar automation
• API integration fundamentals-REST and GraphQL; experience with WPGraphQL a plus
• Familiarity with WordPress ecosystem (themes, plugins, PHP concepts) or willingness to learn using AI tools independently
• Strong foundation in analytics-GA4, GTM, event tracking; understanding of data flows and user journey measurement
• Self-directed learning capability-ability to use AI tools (Claude, Gemini…, etc.) to deep-dive into backend concepts, solve complex integration problems, and expand technical knowledge beyond frontend boundaries
• Good English and Chinese communication skills; effective in multilingual, cross-functional teams
• Proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, willingness to take on challenges

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with headless CMS architecture (Next.js + headless WordPress, Contentful, Sanity)
• Advanced GA4/GTM expertise-custom event design, cross-domain tracking, audience segmentation, data layer optimization
• Testing frameworks and best practices-Jest, Cypress/Playwright, E2E testing
• Backend language familiarity (Node.js, Python, PHP) or experience debugging API interactions
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and deployment awareness
• SEO expertise and familiarity with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Lighthouse, Semrush)
• Design system experience-design tokens, component libraries (Storybook), collaboration with design teams
• Infrastructure-as-Code familiarity or deployment pipeline knowledge
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows and proven adoption of Claude, Gemini, or similar tools
• Multilingual frontend experience (i18n/l10n frameworks-next-i18next, react-intl)
• Experience in security best practices for frontend (XSS, CSRF prevention, secure data handling)
