hardware improvement projects.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCollaborate with vendors to source specialized tooling and equipment upgrades to maintain asset readiness.\nUtilize maintenance work order data and machine logs to investigate root causes of mechanical failures, component wear, and structural breakdowns.\nDrive projects to eliminate recurring equipment downtime and maximize overall machine uptime.\nLead the installation, commissioning, and optimization of hardware improvements for extrusion lines and ancillary systems.\nDevelop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and train operators/technicians on equipment features, machine guarding, and LOTO safety protocols.\nCollaborate with the Process Engineer to align machine capabilities with optimal process parameters (temperatures, speeds, pressures) to minimize mechanical stress and component wear.\nMaintain and upgrade downstream ancillary equipment (including vacuum pumps, water chillers, and pullers) to ensure synchronized line speed.\nMaintain, and troubleshoot the material handling infrastructure, including delivery systems, vacuum loaders, blenders, and scrap grinders/shredders.\nManage and optimize the critical manufacturing utilities required to keep the extrusion lines running efficiently.\nDesign and work with maintenance to execute predictive and preventive maintenance (PM) programs to minimize unplanned downtime.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. \n0-3 Years of extrusion or relatable experience. \nBasic understanding
