As a Trex Machine Operator I, you’ll be working in a team environment that requires safe and efficient operation of production equipment. If you are values driven and share our beliefs, if you are willing to hold yourself and others accountable to the highest standards, then Trex is a place you can call home.\nThe Machine Operator I position will need to be able to fill at least one of the following Roles:\nROLES\nWelder Operator\nCompounding Line Operator\nReclaim Grinder Operator\nVPO Erema Operator\nTSC Operator\nPowder Coating Booth Operator\nTipper/Wood Operator\nPoly Grinder Operator\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPut safety first - always\nWork as a team to drive our “people first” culture\nStart, stop, and monitor machines to ensure proper operation and output\nTroubleshoot mechanical problems and malfunctions; escalate as appropriate\nComplete logs and reports detailing output, machine performance, and issues\nWork in a safe and efficient manner at all times, including but not limited to proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures\nPerform housekeeping duties to keep plant in a safe condition\nPerform quality control checks on product during the production process to ensure that product specifications and standards are met\nDeliver raw materials to the process lines at a rate that allows us to meet production goals\nParticipate in safety training and meetings\nOperate forklift in a safe and efficient manner while handling production material. In addition, to the forklift, operators must also have knowledge on how to safely operate additional equipment such as grinders, mills, and other hand tools etc. \nOperate production-classified machinery appropriately for each type of product movement or job duty\nPerform special processes and projects as required\nOther duties as assigned\nEXPERIENCE\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school Diploma or GED preferred\nExperience operating forklifts\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\nEffective Communications\nWillingness to train others\nTeamwork\nTaking Initiative\nFlexibility to Change\nDetail-oriented\nAbility to follow precise instructions\nAbility to troubleshoot equipment\nPreferred Skills and Qualifications:\nPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment with bulk materials, chemical systems or extrusion process or related experience preferred.\nEssential Functions:\nRegular and predictable attendance\nMust be able to operate machinery (including forklifts, etc.)\nMust be able to stand for a prolonged period of time\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to work 12 hour shifts\nMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time\nMust be able to be forklift certified, requiring proper vision, hearing, and motor skills\nMust be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.\nMust be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 50 pounds {regularly}\nMust be able and willing to comply with PPE requirements at all times\nMust be able to move safely over uneven terrain\nMust be able to work in hot environments and on concrete floors.\nWHO WE ARE\nOver 30 years ago, our founders created the world's first high-performance, low-maintenance composite decking and outdoor living products.
