As a Trex Process Engineer, you will be looked to as an innovator in the manufacturing process and expected to lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes and procedures for wood/plastic composites, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to quality standards. This role is a key member of our Engineering team\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPut safety first - Always!\nLead and foster our “people first” culture\nDevelop and implement processes and procedures for the function of plant equipment required in manufacturing wood/plastic composites. Establish and maintain the required operating parameters, based on observed data and best practices, with minimal supervision from the supervisor.\nProvide technical leadership to the Production Supervisors, Process Technicians, and maintenance team members to solve problems and optimize the operation of plant equipment.\nAssume responsibility for the proper operation of the manufacturing lines and coordinate the repair and replacement of these pieces of equipment as needed.\nLead project and process development with weekly reports to the Process Engineering Manager.\nPursue capital projects based on a cost-benefit analysis and the intended production impact. Work with the project team to completion.\nWork with other departments on capital projects or improvements, identify necessary resources, and follow up to assess the operational success of the installed equipment.\nUtilize Problem-solving expertise to address process, equipment, materials, quality, and EHS issues.\nRegularly lead teams using Continuous Improvement tools (fishbone, 5-why, etc.) to determine root cause, corrective actions, and preventive measures. Follow actions to closure.\nPresents findings from CI/Lean events to senior management.\nMentor junior engineers, provide guidance, and lead teams on process improvement projects.\nJOB LOCATION\nLittle Rock, Arkansas, United States (on-site)\nPOSITION TYPE\nFull-Time/Regular\nEXPERIENCE\nWe are looking for leaders with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, along with experience in manufacturing processes and procedures of wood/plastic composites and/or extrusion processes. Years of experience requirements are listed below. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply.
