At Trexo Robotics, you will find a flat organization where you can work with highly optimistic, low ego, and exceptionally talented individuals who look forward to solving hard problems.\nAbout the job\nWe're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with our teams, uncover real operational bottlenecks, and build the automations, AI agents, dashboards, and tools that solve them. You will own problems end to end, from identifying what’s worth fixing to shipping durable solutions and seeing how they perform over time.\nThis isn't a role where problems arrive pre-scoped, you will be diagnosing which bottlenecks are worth solving, deciding how to solve them, and take solutions from idea to implementation. You will write real code that colleagues depend on, sit with the people whose work you're automating, and own projects end to end.\nThis is a newly created hybrid position (3 days per week on-site in Mississauga).\nWhat you'll do:\nDesign and build AI-powered internal tools, agents, and workflows using LLMs, Python, JavaScript, and tools like Zapier/Make, Airtable, and Salesforce.\n\nWork directly with internal teams (e.g. finance, marketing, business operations, regulatory, or production) to understand how work actually happens, identify the highest-impact bottlenecks, and prioritize what to automate.\n\nBuild and improve data pipelines, integrations, and dashboards that turn fragmented operational data into reliable, actionable insights.\n\nPartner with teams to define and track meaningful KPIs, investigate issues, and turn analysis into clear recommendations and decisions.\n\nTake ownership of projects end to end, from diagnosing the problem and designing the solution to deployment, monitoring, documentation, and ongoing improvement.\n\nAs the first person in this role, establish the standards, practices, and foundations for how internal tooling is built and scaled at Trexo.\n\nRequired Skills\n3+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, technical operations, or a similar role, ideally building tools or automations used by other teams.\n\nHands-on experience with LLMs, ideally building production automations, internal tools, or agentic workflows, not just demos or coursework.\n\nStrong Python and/or JavaScript skills, with the ability to build integrations and handle cases that no-code tools can't.\n\nStrong SQL and data skills, including working with relational data, cleaning messy datasets, and assessing data quality. Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets.\n\nExperience building dashboards, reports, or data pipelines that support real business decisions, with good judgment about which metrics actually matter.\n\nFamiliarity with REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON, and experience connecting real-world systems such as CRMs, email, calendars, spreadsheets, and internal databases.\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with non-technical teams and translate technical or data insights into clear actions.\n\nComfortable with ambiguity and minimal process, since you'll be defining both as the first person in this role.\n\nNice to have\nExperience with Claude Code, Cursor, or similar agentic coding tools in a professional setting.\n\nExperience with BI/dashboarding tools (Tableau, Quicksight, Looker, Metabase, or similar).\n\nExperience with Airtable, Zapier, or CRMs like Salesforce (flows, fields, reports) at a company of meaningful scale.\n\nFamiliarity with data pipeline / ETL concepts, workflow orchestration (n8n, LangChain), or MCP-based integrations.\n\nExperience at an early-stage startup, particularly having helped stand up a new internal function.\n\nBasic understanding of funnel analytics and marketing attribution.\n\nExperience working with healthcare, medical device, or other regulated/compliance-sensitive data.\n\nWork Authorization: Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship or support work authorization applications.
