This is a generic job description encompassing the duties of technicians in several departments, working to strict ISO9001 procedures and processes.\nQualifications\nEducation:\nNational 5 in Mathematics or equivalent.\n\nExperience:\nTwo years of experience in a workshop environment.\nSoldering involvement is preferred but not essential.\nExperience working with fibre optics.\n\nKnowledge:\nUnderstanding of technical drawings/ wiring schematics.\n\nSkills Base\nGood communication skills and effective team player.\nSoldering & wiring of connectors and assemblies preferred.\nComputer literate.\nGood organization skills with an ability to develop creative solutions to problems.\nAbility to work on own initiative\nJob Responsibilities\n\nAssemble parts supplied in kit form as per engineering drawings.\nPrepare supplied parts for termination and encapsulation.\nCarry out electrical terminations and splices through soldering and mechanical processes.\nCarry out Fibre Optic terminations in line with the defined processes.\nMixing and casting of a variety of Polyurethane, Polyethylene, and epoxy resins.\nInterpret technical engineering drawings to manufacture in line with process specifications.\nManufacture of connectors and connector inserts from raw components.\nHandle and store chemicals for cleaning, priming, and moulding strictly adhering to health and safety procedures.\nAttend on-site, both UK and abroad, to assist customers with installation, testing and monitoring of applications.\nTest products and accurately record and document results.\nMaintain all machinery and equipment to proper standards on a regular basis.\nMaintain good housekeeping practices to ensure the working environment is always customer friendly.\nAssist with training and job or product awareness for other staff within the Group.\nMaintain the Group management behaviours practices and equal opportunity policy.\n\nInternal and External
