This role plays a vital part in translating customer requirements into manufacturable solutions while delivering a high level of responsiveness and technical confidence.\nThe ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with drawings, specifications, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Sales & Quoting\nReview customer RFQs, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate and competitive quotes\nInterpret technical requirements and collaborate with engineering and production to ensure feasibility\nRecommend product solutions, materials, and configurations based on customer needs\nSupport pricing strategy by understanding labor, materials, and manufacturing processes\nFollow up on quotes to drive conversion and revenue growth\nCustomer Engagement\nServe as a primary point of contact for assigned customers, providing both commercial and technical support\nManage inbound and outbound communications to identify needs and generate opportunities\nCommunicate lead times, order status, and technical clarifications clearly and proactively\nBuild strong customer relationships through responsiveness and problem-solving\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner closely with engineering, quality, production, and purchasing teams to align on customer requirements\nSupport resolution of technical questions, discrepancies, and quality concerns\nEnsure all customer requirements are properly documented and communicated internally\nContinuous Improvement & Development\nBuild knowledge of cable assemblies, interconnect systems, and applicable industry standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001, etc.)\nIdentify opportunities to improve quoting accuracy, turnaround time, and customer experience\nParticipate in ongoing training to strengthen both technical and sales capabilities\nAdministrative & Reporting\nMaintain accurate records of quotes, orders, and customer interactions in CRM/ERP systems\nSupport reporting, forecasting, and pipeline tracking as needed\nMinimum Qualifications\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field preferred (not required)\nExperience\n2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or quoting role\nExperience in manufacturing, aerospace/defense, or technical sales strongly preferred\nKnowledge & Skills\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, or specifications (preferred)\nStrong problem-solving mindset with mechanical or technical aptitude\nUnderstanding of manufacturing processes or willingness to learn quickly\nExperience with CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office\nStrong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly\nHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nPrimarily office-based with regular interaction on the production floor\nOccasional exposure to a manufacturing environment\nWhy Join C.E.
